  2. Last time I had an issue with Slixx decals, I contacted them and they replaced them for me no hassle. I have only had the problem once, so far, with the Fighting Irish Camaro decals
  3. The way I usually describe the shows in Buena Park are, The Sights, The Sounds and The Smells! As a vendor, I usually give some pretty good deals and the thing I notice the most is folks not asking for prices or asking if I could work on the price of something. I am amazed how many times someone will pick something up and look at it, even asking me if they can open the box to look at it, and still start walking away. Then I will call them back to inquire as to why they did not ask for a deal or just walk away. Most don't think you are willing to budge on a price or assume it will be too much. Most of the time they end up buying it!! I once thought about selling bars of soap at the kit shows and my friend Skip told me it would be a waste of time, they would just carve them up in to bunkers or sandbags for dioramas!
  4. Glad to see Joe getting back into the model world! I would love to catch up with him
  5. I know it came with a standing Landy figure, but I have not seen one with a seated driver. The Revell Royal Pontiac 66 GTO came with the seated driver in the tiger costume
  6. I would like to add a Novacaine to the collection. My Altered Nova needs a bookend!
  7. We sent model kits to the troops, almost for a few years during the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and they once wrote us back to thank us and asking us to please stop sending NASCAR kits!
  8. I gave up on Hot Rod Deluxe, too much reprint stuff in it.
  9. Nice! So, tell us about the scoop, how did you make it? Because that is cool!
  10. Great trade with AFX! Will gladly trade with again!
  11. Dude! Did you find some of my old school homework where I used to draw stuff like this all the time!? This is awesome!!
  12. When I get to finally build all my 70's vans, box art is the way to go! Nice job!!
  13. Wow, childhood flashback! This is a nice box art build!
  14. When I was a kid, in the 70's, I remember buying little kits like these of Formula One type cars that came wrapped like Baseball Card packs. Does anyone else remember those?
  15. Just sit in front of it and watch it dry! Fun stuff! All kidding aside, Ray is correct, too many variables to may it an exact science. Test shoot some paint on plastic spoons and see what works best for you
  16. This has to be some of the worst box art ever! Yes, it shows the actual kit, but, who assembled it like that? Looks horrible! The original, while being only art, makes the kit more inviting and worth buying. Luckily some of us know what the kits really are and will base re-issue purchases based on that. But it is nicer when you get the original box art
  17. Sounds like a perfect project for someone with a 3-D Scanner and printer
  18. Can't wait to get my hands on one! Great review!!
  19. These two where parked only a block away from each other outside one of our campuses
  20. You can't paint the engine the correct color? I am just glad the whole kit is not molded in black!
  21. Almost all hot rods where pieced together back in the early years of the movement. This is not a Rat Rod, this is a true Hot Rod
  22. I should go for it, I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once!
