  1. Yes, the froating is what i have a problem with, ill try the alchohol, thanks!
  2. Thanks fellas, it was decently maintained, but there is some rust issues, but nothing that cant be remedied! There will be more pics, especially when we get it on a lift! Transmission is super tight, contrary to my expectations, and the engine fires on the first turn. Mechanically, this truck is solid!
  3. just posted more pics in the reference section fellas!
  4. Here is my brothers Autocar for your viewing pleasures and of course reference pics. these are just a few shots i have snapped, we've only had the truck since Friday so i havent had a chance to take really good pics. if there are certain shots you want feel free to ask and i will get them when i get a chance!
  5. Does anyone know how or if you can remove ca glue crazing from windows, im sure theres a previous thread on this subject so if someone could point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated too, thanks in advance!
  6. It does have six spoke rears and this thing sounds wicked even though it isnt turboed, and boy do you HAVE to drive this thing, its no wimpy mans truck!
  7. We're getting tags and ins next week hopefully, ypu may see it cruisin down the road.... You'll hear us comin first!
  8. Brian, we will be at the peidmont triad farmers market the first weekend in November i think, check with me when its closer to time.
  9. Ill get some more pics later today, my bros washin it now. The trans is original, i didnt understand the seller at first. Someone either added a fifth wheel or made this one adjustable, but we're gonna remedy that. Other than that everyhing is there minus some interior panels, but its not that big of a deal. The engine is an neh-195 cummins which sounds great! Trans is a ten speed woth an id code R8960, i believe its an eaton trans but im not sure yet.
  10. Thanks fellas, i personally am in love! My brother isnt gonna work it, just have fun with it, maybe a paint job in its future. And yes, i too love to see these dying breeds rescued... She will be reproduced in 1/25 as i already have the parts!
  11. My brother just bought a 1960 DC75T Autocar tractor, and since i will be wrechin on this thing for him i figure I'll have some sort of rights to it. anyways, here she is!
  12. Thanks Brian, i have ordered from sts before, but ive never seen the 671 besides in a junkyard lot. Ill check with them cuz i want a fewnof those!
  13. Im guessin those are the v16 and v12 detroits from aitm
  14. Thanks Terry! The reason im askin is me and my brother just bought a 1960 DC75T with a 195 cummins and a 10 speed eaton so i want all the info i can get!
  15. Are they casting the 671 regularly? Can i just email them?
  16. Thanks Terry, i figured you would chime in on this one, and im appreciative!
  17. I believe it is a 1960 dc75 autocar, im sure there are more numbers but i dont know them yet, anyways i know the truck has a cummins 195 in it but i believe tje trans is newer. With all that said, my question is, does anyone have a list of transmissions that would have been possible for this truck. Thanks in advance guys! Also, while im askin, does anyone know of a site i can decode the vin.....if thats possible on such an old truck?
  18. The reason i asked is im building a 1:1 of the trailer i use at work, and it has the same wheels, i just ordered 2 sets of firestone atx's off ebay for the trailer.
  19. I cant wait for the four holes, would you sell just the rears?
  20. Dave- im with ya on the small details, i think thats what ties it all together. Its the most annoying yet satisfying part of a build. Im having trouble weathering my cab, i want it to look dirty but not abused...new thing for me! Alain- thanks for the complement, it means a lot coming from an artist such as yourself!
  21. nevermind... please delete
