  1. Thanks yeah the 1:1 is very clean throughout, just a couple of little bits to sort out. Fitted a new boot carpet today and original cards
  2. Any new updates Kevin ?
  3. I like what your doing Jim . Will you paint it before you crash it ?
  4. That's scary how good that glass fits Richard. I like the rear glass with the vents in. I would try clear fix to fit the glass it dry's clear
  5. HI john the kit has the 440 ci in it my real one has the 318 ci
  6. Well the body work continues You can see that the body has now been flatted ready for top coat. Apart from some slight issues on the passenger door where the slats were . This will be re filled again . Normally I would of passed it and said it was ready but as it will be a copy it needs to right....! I have got the paint that is as close to the cars exterior colour but it has been repainted at some point in its life . The colour on the inside of the doors is slightly different it is a bit more metallic . So I will decant the paint into the airbrush and add a tiny bit of silver to it to try and match the original Light metallic green that Dodge intended . Comments as always welcomed good or bad
  7. That is cool are there any other trucks out there like 3950 that where used by AMT/ Ertl
  8. Nice work How did you get the crinckled look to the rocker boxes
  9. Nice wrecker . I bet Michel knight never thought KIT would need a lift
  10. Well I just started getting the front and rear bumpers ready for dry fitting. Then I noticed that the bumpers don't have any over riders on them like the 1/1. So that's just one more thing that I will have to scratch build
  11. Thanks Jeff I hope to get some good pics when the weather picks up a bit. My car is only the Base model but it is very interesting to see all the difference's
  12. Hi Simon Welcome your not to far from me . Im in Lincolnshire
  13. Thanks Dan I was under the 1/1 this morning on my back Just checking some colours shocks will be white as there adjustable. The K member is satin black under the dirt and grime, chassis rails are body colour the axel and drive shaft will be satin black also. I did notice that I will have to change the front breaks for disks. Fuel tank is aluminium and I will have to weather the front half of the exhaust pipes as the rear half is brand new . I was very surprized that that the kit is quite accurate to the 1/1 underneath . So it should be fairly strait forward to put in the break and fuel lines. I have just about got all the bodywork done and should be able to get it primed tonight flatted tomorrow and with a bit of luck get some colour on as well . I have also drilled for plug wires on the engine. I just have to paint the distributer grey to match the 1/1 . Comments welcome
  14. Love the paint . I would use BMF and not bother using the supplied kit foil as it does not conform to the body shape very well . Keep at it your doing great
  15. That is a very nice piece . Love the interior details well done
  16. You should post more of your builds ...! The 53 looks great
  17. I met ( Ice road Rick) at a truck show a few years ago, unfortunately I found him to be very arrogant The next year though I met Lisa and she was a very nice person who loves trucks and trucking. Your rig looks great and captures the look perfectly . Nice work
  18. Thanks Richard . im looking at all the bench seats that I have and im going to try to sculp with filler on top . Well that's the plan
  19. On the original London bus there is only one stair case at the rear that curves up
  20. Thank you Bill that is very helpful . I think that I will have to dig through the parts box to get a bench seat that I can try to match the pattern some what. At least I have good reference I have just ordered a flat hood from Time Machine Resins . I have to get under the 1/1 to get pics of where all the break lines and fuel lines go . So I will be getting the car up on a lift at the local garage this week all being well
  21. Almost got the body sorted out the yellow is filler primer . Front and rear assembled and primed. Comments welcomed
