  1. Thanks for that Mike yes that is the hood I need . I hope they do still do it as it would make life a bit easier . I did get some more bodywork done last night but nothing worth posting yet
  2. Mmm I guess I better start cutting up the hoods I have then Thanks for that john.
  3. I don't know if they still make the hood I got mine from another member . The hood I have does not have the vents at the back so I may still have to cut up both hoods to get the correct one .
  4. Im not to sure if the original site still works but there is a link to a new site . I don't know if the truck is an original film truck or not
  5. Sean I like what you have done so far. Have you looked at www st Louis dump trucks.com they own the original trailer and a very close copy of the Mack . I used the tires from a Revell k100 as they are the closest to the film truck
  6. Thanks Joe I hope to get some more body work done tonight if I can get the kids in bed on time
  7. David you can get the flat hood from Model haus but you had better be quick before they close forever....!
  8. Brian I have a flat hood from another member and the dash in my car is the R/T so the 71 dash will work well . It would be good to see pics of yours
  9. Mike the upper ball joints have been done already but not the bottom or tie rods as far as I know? But now you have told me im sure I will get them done She has 94,000 on the clock . Im very new to owning a yank so im still learning I will get a pic of the roof for you . I have never seen a roof like it before either it's very unusual . I have a little problem with the head light doors at the moment , I have changed the motor but now the doors work in reverse ? I think it's the relay and I think there is some kind of upgrade for it but I cant find much info on it . im sure I will figure it out
  10. Thanks Kevin I hope to get some more done tonight
  11. Hi Bill Yes I did thanks they will be put to good use
  12. Thanks for that Steve I will try to track down a set. Yes I think she I sweet too Still have to name her though...?
  13. Hi Olaf (Custom Mike) My car has the half vinyl roof which has a turtle shell effect to it. Which I have still to find anything to replicate it yet...! I have got some headlight doors from the Dukes of hazard kit they fit ok but they are a bit to short so I may make them functional ? My car came from the factory in light metallic green with the dark green interior . My biggest problem is going to be the fact that the wheels are a little bit to small for the tires . Im going to have to make a sleeve for the rims ?
  14. Hi Jeff the differences are the hood has no bulge the doors don't have the slots and the marker lights are rectangle coloured plastic instead for two flush lights. As for the bumpers they are the same but my car has the pop up doors like the 68/69 cars and the rear lights are rectangle instead of 3 squares. Thanks for your interest
  15. Here is the parts from MCG missing link and BF Goodrich tires from joseph at Fireball Modelworks . the engine in my car is a 318 ci the closest I could find is a 340ci . The gearbox was swapped from a manual to automatic. The door panels have to be cut up to get the correct wood grain and padding . The new padded parts came from a 74Charger kit glue bomb kit
  16. Hi all im about to start a copy of my 1/1 1972 Dodge Charger . Im starting with the AMT 71 Charger kit as this is the closest body shape to the base model that my car is. As you can see I have filled the maker lights and the door slots. I have a PE set from MCG for the scripts and a front and rear bumper set from Missing link. Stay tuned more to come later
  17. That's cool I really like the Cutlass one day I hope to do one myself and I think I would do it in gold as well
  18. Nice work . But I think that your side marker lights could do with some foil and colour

  22. Very cool Sean . You learn quick top of the class I would love to have one on my shelf . What's She going to pull ?
  23. Here in England there are many low bridges and that seen is a regular occurrence in my home town . One high speed rail bridge has been hit well over 30 times in the last 5 years that I know of . Fortunately nobody has been injured . But it has come close a few times where some wooden pallets have been pushed off the rear of the trailer and landed on a car following the truck. The road agency keeps trying different signs flashing lights height bars before the bridge but it still happens. I think it is just drivers trying to rush to get to the drop off and not paying enough attention to the road signs . There have been a few double decker buses as well that have had the upper deck completely removed injuring passengers .
  24. Is that cob webs on the under side .....?
  25. Looks spot on to me great work keep it up Steve
