  1. Beautiful ride! I’m working on one myself currently..
  2. took a little detour, still gonna be a dually, just making a utility bed for it also. Hopefully I'll start paint soon, gonna go with a worn/patina paint job..
  3. Got a little more done to the wheels. I used a pvc cap and cut it to fit snug, I just have to make the center section and drill the holes. It's a lot of work but my time cost me nothing and I have a total of 5 dollars Into all the wheels once they're done.
  4. Got this 65 chevy kit for valentines. I don't have much time anymore to build but, I have body dropped it and I want to turn it into a dually with semi wheels, which aren't as easy to find and when I did find them they weren't very cheap.. I decided to make my own using 3/4 pvc pipe and cutting them to the right width and used a router to rout the lip and channel of the wheel.. I'll have more pics of me building the wheels
  5. Still picking away at this every chance I get. A fellow member of the forum helped me out big time and modeled wheels in 3D for me. I can't thank him enough..
  6. I have a set of Pegasus aluminum wheel blanks there suppose to be 22 or 23 inches but the stock wheel I have are too small..
  7. I'm not sure to be honest. I know the stock 1:1 scale wheel is a 15 inch wheel and they built a 22 inch replica of that same wheel. It looks like the center "cup" with the Chevy logo is the same size on both wheels and everything else is just scaled up to a 22 inch...
  8. Ive been building a replica of a 1:1 scale truck. It has custom wheels that are like the stock ones just larger. I have the stock scale ones, I wanna see about using them to make a bigger diameter wheel that I can 3D print. Would anyone here know anything about 3D printing, maybe could help me or even point me in the right direction??
  9. Test fitting the wheel blanks..
  10. I have a set of Pegasus aluminum blanks? You can put your own center in them. The plan is too put the stock wheel in the center for a 1:1 scale look.
  11. Got the notch and some tubing work done today. Lots more work to do but she's coming along great. 4 link is next and control arms for the front.
  12. Thanks for the feedback fellas. I've been making a little progress today and should have pics of that up soon today.
  13. Working on getting rid of the molded in batteries and lifting the inner wheel wells so I can fit the wheels and tires..
  14. Started this kit a week ago after a long time off from building. It started life as the revell gmc plow truck but, thats far from what it will end up as. I added the molding/ trim to the sides and tailgate sections, also added a drip rail, body dropped the bed floor so it can lay as low as possible. Should be a fun replica to build just need to find a set of wheels from a 72 Chevy truck kit like the stock hubcaps...
  15. I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about someone trading all of their models/ supplies for non model items.. Musical instruments, wood working tools.. Things like that?
  16. I really like those blazers.. I'm feeling like maybe grabbing one of those body's and not using the s10 body..
  17. We'll I didn't really use primer and the tailgate area. I ran out, so what you see there is a dusting of flat white and flat black spray paint.
  18. Got alittle more done on this never ending project haha... Thanks to pharoah for hooking me up with a chevy tailgate that I molded into the rear of the truck. I hope to have the front suspension done today and maybe be alittle closer to paint.
  19. Thanks everyone. I have a busy few days coming up so I don't know how much I'll get to work on the truck but it's coming along great! Hopefully I'll have paint on it sooner then later
  20. Started building the scratch built firewall with tubs for the front tires, I have a little more work to do to that.. Also started on the upper and lower control arm, since this kit didn't come with them. I think it might of been 4 wheel drive?
  21. I've thought about that if I decide to do that I can always use the piece I've made as a templet.. I'm trying to find a tailgate with the embossed Chevrolet or gmc in it so I can mold it into this kit some where..
  22. Got another coat on primer on it after a guide coat and wet sand.. Should have some paint on it this weekend.. I cut the bed floor so I can open it too display the chassis.. I also got one door panel/ door card made I just need to make the other..
