  1. thnx this update really starts to show the outcome just see > btw loads of detail will be added , like fuellines , wiring , airlines , compressor and as much as i can add .. i want this to become my most detailed model ever (well it already is lol) used a big scale bike exhaust to make a airtank for the rear airride , added 2 plastic rings and the ends are the headlights of this kit , those where flat and molded in one without clear glass , so perfect end caps for the bastard tank i think bastard rod is a good name for this one haha its made of so many scrap parts now did more work on the undersode at the rear so its now closed there and hits the rear of the bodywork , under the bar tehre sits the fueltank electric fan in the radiatorhousing , will get some more detail like wiring and stuff seen from the front losse set up with the wheels , i will either use the chrome centercaps with ford in the middle or make chrome wheelnuts , steelies will get a mild wash to get the deep parts a bit darker . tomorrow the paint will be dry enough i think with the flathead now its a matter of making steel pins for the rear wheels and getting a rolling chassis .. then i can set the bodys hight , its already set but on the rear i can still paly with the hight a bit then i can really add the final details like lines and wiring and get paint going idea is to paint the body steel color .. then with the salt technique paint it army matt green so it looks like peeled of paint i think that looks great with the red wheels
  2. well painted the steelies bright red and made a fuel fillerneck on the inside , for the outside i have this cool chrome fuelcap
  3. nice job !!!
  4. awsome job on the broken glass , and the rest looks great also , really dig this to bad the pics are so small and maybe you could try some better quality on the shots ? would like to see some larger / better pics
  5. haha thnx !! , i just wondered what would happen with some thin old plastic and when i heated it i could make wrinkels that looked cloth like like i said this was the test version now i like iot i will make a def. version
  6. glued the radiator in place .. and made a first rough test version of a canvas roof first rough draft made from plastic put some bandage tape on it in the end choose for this set up below sprayed it with a can of matt army paint the next version will be wider and overlap the gap onto the roof edge , i will drill tiny holes along the roofgap and insert bushes , then in the rolled up canvas i will make chrome pin heads so it looks like those click mounts ...
  7. well went on with the engine and so after the chrome and then a filth wash i did more chrome , now the surface is not supersmooth and the chrome is rubbed with a cloth after the second coat so it became less shiney .. about the look i wanted , not real rat like but not shiney either just a rougher looking engine closed the rear section , that is attached to the chassis .. under the closed section i already made a fueltank .. on the flat surface i will make a airride tank with hoses and all , and drill a hole in the corner so i can make a fillerneck / hose from the fuelktank with a bend to the side just after the rear side window , or maybe the rear under the rear window in the middle. not sure yet i think behind the side window because then you will see a hole / fillerneck and thats a nice detail to see imo
  8. you know i love it already said so many times .. love your work
  9. details are awsome
  10. whow awsome ans soo clean
  11. whow that looks soo good , awsome stance and the body lines are superb !!
  12. well started chrome on the engine , did the belt in matt , pullys chrome , blower en scoop chrome , weathered headers then really went for it , just wanted a raw look bit vintage feel ...alright its ratty ...lol header pipe looks weird but the engine is sitting wrong and not level on the pic just put everything loose on the table paint wasnt dry yet
  13. yes thats best i still manage to only build one car at a time , works best for me thnx !
  14. dude thats awsome !!!!!! btw a got an idea !!! if you would take like a long thin or thick clear plastic rod and on the end make a led on it that shines directly on the end of the rod maybe it would light up the rod all the way ? then you could place that inside the beam glass you have now and habe like a second beam inside ? also got to think in the toystores they often sell those cheap plastic light swords that have like all light up tubes ...
  15. how could i miss this lol just thought about this a while back > like how cool would it be to build the farmtruck in scale awsome thread btw try to watch the episodes and look what was on the pizza sign and really make the sign from that pizza shop they used awsome stuff
  16. awsome and always impressed with your clean builds .. so clean
  17. thx .. yes it now just a matter of getting good mounts for the engine / body and get all the details there so i can start paint
  18. nice
  19. thnx hmm maybe i will go sometime in the future , not real big on contests or dont feel the need to compete (whow i'm rhyming lol ) but i may go in the future just for the fun thnx and go for it
  20. hmm nice tunnel and curious on the flocking should look awsome
  21. thnx blair and whow well thats one special build then .. must feel very special ?! paint on the engine and valve covers still tacky .. i could not resist scraping the paint of on the engine where i needed to glue the covers and very carefully glued them in place ... all went well i was glad i could save them after drilling to big holes for the spark plug holes to try brass sleeves .. now with the new plastic round things it looks great again pfffttt .. glad otherwise i would have to scratchbuild new covers .. would be cool to do but i still have so much going on in this build on the pics there is a bare styrene edge in front of the valve covers from scraping of the paint to glue them on that needs to be painted black again so dont mind that hight difference with my copper deuce .. the tudor is sitting on the table on the pics not ride hight but that wont be a lot higher next to one of my early builds the 3-window coupe deuce , about the same hight (roofline)
