  1. just saw the end result .. and man .. thats just insanely cool , clean build and perfect !
  2. well after a lot of failed attempts i finally glued in some round rings in the sparkplug holes , added fuellines on the carbs from brass like guitar string and gave it a overall sand job. then sprayed a base coat of black to work on , will get a lot of chrome accents and other details the fuellines are ribbed so later on you will see this with a wash , will become very cool already used this on the copper colored deuce and that worked out great on that
  3. oooh exiting cant waight to see that this hover above the house
  4. awsome build
  5. whow thas clean .. love it
  6. whooowwww seriously i so would wish you could make like real good pictures .... this build looks stunning , to bad the pics are a bit whow awsome job .. that caravan ...
  7. in advance > well now on topic
  8. thnx guys and yes thats def. fun .. i had the luck a guy who has build for years stopped with the hobby , well he had to because he could not do it anymore because of the sanddust and paint and glue ...and his health (longs) so thats not really like yeeeeyy but he really liked my work and asked me if i wanted to buy some of his left over kits and when i went over to buy them he gave me a few filled partsboxes he wanted his stuff to go to somebody who would really use it and he follows my builds and often laughs when he recognises his old parts in my builds .. now on every kit i build i just alwyas have so many spares left untill now i just keep filling those boxes hehehe\ so yes its just so nice to be able to get creative and let the parts guide you .. but tbh i also use a lot of scrap stuff found anywhere , like most plastic in this car is either from sprue's or from old window blinds works great and was for free , evergreen is awsome but those prices ......
  9. i think he should make a how to for us on soldering and then really show what kind of materials and flux you have to use ...and what sort of soldering equipment is best , like i have a simple solder .. how do you call that stick ?? cant set the ammount of heat or ... but first finish this one its sooo cool
  10. whow some awsome scractchbuilding in this thread , just love this car ... i'm not the biggest fan of the colorcombo .. not saying its not nice i just would have liked the car better in one whole color or when two toned a top and bottom color .. rear would have been so cool in black so those custom tails would have popped out .. but thats just taste it still looks very very nice , love all the details and self made stuff > awsome thread
  11. well def looking like the car !! great job
  12. nice !!!
  13. very nice job !! love this build , that dash also looks great !!
  14. haha oldtimer
  15. \ no problem btw saw in your profile we are about the same age lol well i'm a tad younger i'm from 1975 haha
  16. made them longer woth other plastic and slash cut them seen from the side , on this poic it was just glued , needed to sand the pipe so it was one and the same instead of the ticker part of the slashcut inbetween i altered the steering rod and made steel pins instead of the kit plastic , to keep it in place u used some tiny tiny brass sleeves from a sawing kit and clamped them tight and used some second glue to ... works great and much more steady now then sanded the headers / pipes and found a nice small scoop in the partsbox , that was a lousy cast and needed a lot of sanding i loved the look so desided to use the scoop instead of stacks lose dryfit and well most is scrap stuff , scrap plastic and some left over parts from kits out of the partsboxes .. really coming together now i like the size of the scoop not to massive and well proportioned gave the scoop and pipes / header a light coat of poly bondo the engine will also get some throttle stuff and linkage , fuell lines , wiring and spark plug wires
  17. no problem great job and the interiour is taking shape i see , loving this build !!
  18. well added a alternator on top next to the blower , just like some example pics i saw online , made a pully on it with a belt to the blower axle also started on 2 carbs on the blower dryfit , not ride hight just on the table then used a large toy manifold i had left (had 2) and cut a large part off , made a center pipe , all rough first set up on the engine set them so they floow the line of the front of the cab
  19. whow cool got to remember to buy that myself .. very curious on the result when it completly drys up to clear
  20. cool !! love the tyres !!
  21. very nice def need to chop the grille a bit of the z-ed version would finish the look off perfect
  22. thnx ! and yes i also have several pictures like that .. but also have some pics with blowers on the flathead and tbh there are so many different set ups .. awsome brochure pic btw i already removed the blower and made a lower inlet manifold .. the blower wa a bit to high for my liking .. its will sit lower as on the previous pictures because there it just sits on the table but it still needed to be lower . i want the blower level or at least just a hair higer then the front of the body , so when i put some stacks on it those will be the only part that stick out in front of the windscreen. also removed the single carb plate and will make 2 small individual and then linked carbs with small stacks , just like a example i found something similair to these on top thnx
  23. yes i know but ...i just have no room i'm still thinking what to put on top , one stack would be weird ?? a aircleaner .. hmm hard .. no no thats the kind of input i can really use .. like i said it was not easy to find the exact richt set up .. now one thing is .. when everything is in you can hardly see the pully's with the radiator in place , but i def like this input and thats always welcome and like you said yes we build them for fun , although i'm now at a point i just want stuff to make sense i will dryfit the set up ounce more and then deside if you can even see the pully's ...i think they become almost invisible .. then it would be wirk for soemthing you dont see only to swap a pully for a smaller size .. but thnx for the input , if it shows i will try to adjust it
