FM '55 "Godfather" Caddy. I've been after one of these for several years but didn't want to pay the exorbitant prices on Ebay. Curt and I went to the Detroit show over the weekend and I scored this one for $75, it's #844 of 3000. it does have some very minor rash in spots and I already buffed it out of the top. it's one gorgeous and hefty model. I had to make up a couple of replica license plates from the movie car as well, I also had to fashion a front license plate bracket for a front plate. It looks good with the DM Roadmasher. Plus it'll fit nicely into my famous/movie/star car collection.[:)] He made me a deal I couldn't refuse.

That's a beauty Jeff, I wish one of the Mints had done this in 1/24.

LOL, Andy, I understand. I literally had "Racing stripes" across my arse on many occasions. I have seen some of these items go for pretty good dough on Ebay in the past.

Thanks guys, it was fun. I really do appreciate the enthusiasm. JT, I love you quote at the bottom. Being a cancer survivor, I know.☺️

Helmut, that is a beautiful restoration of an iconic car. Absolutely stunning work. You should be proud to display that in your collection. I surely would.? -

What a creative and cool build Dave. It should be an "SS"............Super Sweet.?
-
Thanks Bob, I appreciate it. I used Rustoleum Gloss Sun Yellow. It's about as close as I could get to the Solar Yellow off the shelf.?
-
Thanks guys, I certainly do appreciate it. Gil, I didn't take any build pics of this one but I did get extra pics of this GS I did from the GSX kit. I like this kit enough I've built these 2 and cut the top off of a third to do a convertible GS which I'm currently working on.?

Thanks guys, it IS appreciated. Chaz, the door handles are from my parts box, they came from a scrap GMP '70 GTO diecast. I pick up scrap or damaged diecast models when I can, they make for great parts sources. ?

What's not to love, it's a Firebird, stunning build Chris.

Way cool Bill, it's nice to see a different take on this kit.

Thanks to everybody for the interest and kind words, they keep me motivated LOL.?
-
Thanks Lee, I used Rustoleum Rustic Pink & Vintage Blush. It's not dead on but as close as I could find off the shelf. The colors look darker in hand than what my pics are showing but they were taking in LED lighting, in natural light it looks closer.?

Mmm, Mmm, Mmm, that's looking great Bob.?

Many thanks guys, it is much appreciated. ?

Man that's cool. I love the '61 Chevy's, they are beautiful automobiles.

"Vantom" Ford van
Geno replied to Can-Con's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Steve, I remember building this one many moons ago and I really liked it, sorry to say I traded off this one and all my old model kits I built as a kid for R/C stuff. I did have a friend custom make those decals to fit the monster truck I built. ? -
I'm sure I could but I build by my timeline and for my pleasure. I've been asked to do commissioned builds but I'm just not interested, also all the time I invest in building and detailing I don't think I could part with them in the first place lol.☺️
