i have seen them also and i can bet you about 75% of them are hear say as they have never tried the paint. i own 5 Groups on Facebook and no telling how many im a member of. a builder can show his model and say he used Rustoleum paint and its like a bunch of flies on a dead hog. its cut down time, its Tamiya paint this and Tamiya that. they dont give the builder no credit at all.. i dont go around knocking Tamiya paint Testors or any other brand that builders use. im 70 years old and it's sad how builders have got now days.

R Mack Heavy Haul Update. everything is finished but the headache rack. Decals were custom made by STS. Stacks are Ryan Mlynek. the Mack Dog came from Dave (AITM). the hood turn signals, marker lights & battery box latches are from CTM. visor was made by Auslowe but sold by ST Supply. i kept the kit motor in this build but went ahead an added duel exhaust. if the headache rack dont fill in the space ill add heat shields. cab lights, seats and horns came from a snap Revell truck. tires & rims are 3D printed. colors Black Metallic Stainless & Popsicle Orange. this will be the truck that ill build a modified AMT lowboy to haul the Tigercat Skidder on..

i been using Rustoleum paints for many many years with no problems. my truck builds are painted with it. i dont use Tamiya or Testors paint. i read negative comments all over this forum and groups on Facebook. clogging nozzles are an issue, but if you look on the back of the can their is a phone # that you can call and request spray nozzles. they will be glad to send them to you at no cost, free shipping. i get 30 at a time an i may change the nozzles 2-3 times if the can has set up while spraying. another thing you got to do with these big cans shake the heck out of them. new can 3 minuets by the clock no less..once it gets down half way you can drop that to 2 minuets unless it has been sating up for a while then fall back to your 3 minuets. yes you gonna think your arms are gonna fall off like mine but that's the way i do it with no problems. some say it remains tacky for days. it could not be shook up well enough or your spraying when the conditions are not right. i dont have that problem. for you outside painters bring that paint in if its cool the day before and let it warm up..

what i would do is cut and paint some thin plastruct or evergreen then apply the Decals to it. that way you know they will not peel off later and look way better hanging as signs.

woops i see one of my hood bolts fell out.. gonna fire that mechanic..lol -
Been working on this off & on for a few months. everything has been painted. the hardest part so far was adding the small engine cover bolts. cylinder shaft are made with uxcell 304 Stainless Steel and inter K&S tubing. looks way more better than any painted or bare metal foil plastic. i had to use two different size as i could not find the right OD & ID in the same size tubing. mounted cylinders beside the blade and cylinders on each side of the pivot point. installed the log grapples, added decals. i just temporary pined the two half's together sat the cab , winch, blade & tires on it to see what it looks like. a 3/16 brass rod runs thru the axles to inside the tires. sure gonna be hard for me to dirty it up...lol..still a long way to go.

respectfully disagree with me... did you read the part that i said you got to sand it ??...his rims was what i was talking about and their is nothing you can do with them but sand the letters off that's just the way a lot of 3D looks. i should have said that in my post so even you would understand that. i also have a lot of 3D parts that required none to little sanding. the rims you have are not raised letters they are counter sunk inside the rim for easy clean up. also if you have never bought anything big like printed trucks or cars beware who you buy from or you will see what sanding 3D parts id all about.
