  1. Awesome build. Gonna put mine to shame
  2. Jim Adkins at www.jimnohio.com gets his hands on around a half dozen of these each year. Get in touch and he'll put you down for one. I bought mine from him, and from memory it was around $13.50.
  3. Awesome work. That engine is just amazing.
  4. Thanks guys. Sounds like I did the right thing, just didn't the result I was looking for! I don't have - or want - a Fotki or photobucket account, so I'll either just stick with the thumbnails or put the pics on my blog first. I imagine if I link the from my blog (like with Fotki) I'll get larger images.
  5. Can't believe I didn't notice that in my ref pics. I just checked again and you're right. I think I'll need to rectify that. I also haven't attached the license plate yet, since the one in the kit doesn't have Christine's plate, so I need to find some time to make my own.
  6. Yep - fixed it right away
  7. I've just started on the forum and have done two posts, but I can't seem to get the photo uploads right. They're only appearing as thumbnails, and my latest post has a section at the bottom called "thumbnails attached" with a second copy of my images. To upload, I do what the video tutorial says: upload my images, then select "insert into post", but they won't insert as full size. What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix it?
  8. I started building models when I was a kid, and this car was always my "Holy Grail". Now that I'm back into modelling, I got my hands a kit and wanted to make it something special, so I put together a little circuit with some LEDs to light up the headlights and tail lights. I was able to cut out the trunk and hide a 9v battery in there to power it all. Sadly, there's no on/off switch - you just plug in the battery and away she goes!
  9. Engine bay is awesome. Love the detail in the battery
  10. Looks amazing Rich. The detail on the dash is fantastic. What do you use for the seat belts?
  11. Been working on this kit for a while and it's almost done. Just need to touch up the paintjob and polish it. Since a lot of work usually goes into the interior of these cars, I used this kit as my guinea pig to see if I could make the roof removable. No point creating a great interior if you can't see it, right? You can read the full story and keep up to date here: Scale Model World
