  1. It's awesome to see this done in the box art style. I am doing a similar monochromatic scheme with mine.
  2. Yeah , I have to agree with this especially...
  3. I can get down with this idea. Good luck!
  4. Are these 2 piece affairs? Or have they updated the rear tire?
  5. Pictured for everything. Be it , requesting pictures of a vintage kit , to showing a current production kit , the pictures make a huge difference in how useful the information is (I'm thinking of the model box picture library that one of the members put together , that is half the battle.) , but its not limited to that. Due to so many kits being reissued many times , having those breakdowns of issues helps out in a big way equally. But at the same time , most people generating content here for us all to draw knowledge from , are already doing it for the love of it , not for the money , therefore it makes it difficult to adhere to much of a formal format. Arguing over Chip Foose is my biggest gripe about that section , if his name was replaced with something fun like ice cream cone? maybe i could handle it. That being said , big thanks to the regulars in that section who possess styrene wisdom to share. I offer you my endless gratitude.
  6. Thanks Rob , I will , only i chose this kit because of this thread. There were lots of cool ideas in here (yours included) and honestly i love the premise. My father and i have had many discussions over the years about these kind of kits so i couldnt resist.
  7. I want to join!!!!! I just put the 56 F-100 Ed Roth issue on the bench today , and i have already broken something! Maybe we can revive the self loathing builds!
  8. That Old Pro Nova is very nice. I was thinking the proportions would have to be so skewed , it would never work to be a true replica in actual reality. those whitewalls are beyond tacky.
  9. I have this bad Larry on the bench as well. how is the kit going together for you so far Jeff?
  10. Whoa , this blew my brain up... I http://blogs.hotrod.com/monograms-badman-1955-chevy-gasser-comes-alive-at-sema-2013-94171.html
  11. I watched the first movie twice last night. Beyond ironic cause of death , and really sad at the same time.
  12. Its basic , headers , slicks , wheels , hood scoop , air cleaner , cool can , and decals ( i might have missed something here...) but noting too crazy.
  13. Bill , I caught that one as well , however my searched yielded no info. I became curious when i bought the revell 2 in 1 charger kit , which has a drag setup.
  14. Thanks Jesse , The street categories , that's more or less what I'm looking for reference on. It's not an easy task , considering how little if any exposure these racers got.
  15. Were these dragged , or were they more on a nascar train of thought? I picked up the 67 Hemi charger kit (non Foose issue) and it has a drag option. I have been doing some research , but have yet to come up with any relevant info. 66's , yes , 68-71 , yes. 1967 , nothing. Thanks!
  16. The Hot Rod shop is back open!!!!! Channeling my inner Boyd Coddington right now , i may fire one of the cats for not boxing his frame rails
  17. Revell has some awesome customer service. Holy cow. Differential arrived this week!
  18. most of this has been from the past week or so. the charger and f-100 kits were 50+% off at ac moore (my father said of the f-100 , to "light a match to it") The charger kit is pretty neat. I also got to visit hobby bunker in Malden MA today , and picked up some much needed supplies and a couple magazines. Then i stopped in at the office to find 2 books i ordered had shown up! oh , i almost forgot about the parts pack engines!
