It is a 964 David. I was just showing another Porsche project idea. The RUF CTR is still ongoing.

AMT did some great NASCAR kits, unfortunately the one you show isn't one of them.

The Monogram kit is much nicer but is 1/24 scale if that is an issue for you.

Yes I saw that photo too Alan, your decals are correct for the restored car.

It looks incomplete to me therefore I would apply the decals. However it could be at it's first race and the sponsor decals and number haven't yet been applied.

I haven't posted in this thread in awhile but the project isn't dead. I removed the chrome trim along the door sill (I want to build a base model Falcon) and extended the front fender panel line down through the door sill. Before with the trim in place.

Here is the Whoopiekat - El Cid sheet. My concerns are: The "A" in Cobra doesn't have the cross bar - looks like a lower case "n" Getting the gold overlay "COBRA" and the snake to line up with what is already on the white background Not a fan of having to layer decals to create the full image. I haven't used his decals before - maybe this was a difficult set to layout and print.

He may have changed how he prints the El Cid set. The set I received requires the decals to be layered to create the "COBRA" logo. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.

I have a set but they are not his best work so I haven't applied them.

Would love for you to do El Cid so I could complete my build.

I can't help you with the decals but Historic Racing Miniatures make a trans-kit to build the car.

Sting did solo versions of Police songs for the Secret Policemans Ball album.
