  1. What purple is that? It looks great, it kinda jumps a little more than normal.
  2. I love it !! I just wish I had the stones to attempt one! Have a few in the closet but like I said not enough you know what yet. Just beautiful!
  3. I ordered the parts from the "A" guys on accident about 2 months ago on evilbay not realizing I they had once again changed there handle. I thought O God here we go again! Seeing as how I have bad luck I thought I was screwed since I even mailed a Check But to my dismay I got them a week after the check cashed along with some other items I have ordered, so maybe they are turning around?
  4. Marc, Did you attempt to foil the armrest bases? I tried several time tonight on my 67 with no luck due to the flat paint I think.
  5. Oh yes the Mopar Gods agree! Probably the best Bee color out there in my book!
  6. . Just watch out for those falling limbs!!! My head can not take another smack from a TREE!!! LOL!!
  7. I can maybe live with the wing but you need to try to reduce the height a little. I think once it is brought down it will give you the flow you are looking for from front to back.
  8. Man is the bad luck following you! At least the garage door waited until the power came back on! I tried to build with a lantern last week but the light was not sufficient. You don't realize how much you miss electric until it is gone for a week and it is 30 degress outside!!!LOL!!! Maybe I will have a generator hooked up next time so my modeling and kids don't have to suffer! See ya at the next meeting!
  9. Looks great Billy! I have a few of them I have yet to try. I understand how the PL kits can be, I fought my Marty Robbins Charger every step of the way! Love seeing some Nascar around here. I have an itch for the roundy rounds since BadScale went down.
  10. Thanks for the heads up on the wheels. As luck would have it I scored a set on the bay last night for a buck and half plus 2 shipping. So now the project can move on.
  11. Yes please let us know where the wheels came from. I need to build a copy of my 96 Impala and have yet come up with a set of Vistas that look close.
  12. Yea Marc, but what are the chances of you building it as a racecar???? LOL!!! I am planning on going to the LHS Saturday and picking them up as they should be in (maybe?). I already have my decals in hand now I just need to build!
  13. Ok Don you know I am going to have to have several of those so get to a pouring! Nellis will have to let me know when they are done. Is the motor included or seperate? Also what is available out there for a prop for the v drive? Are you going to cast a "Scouper" prop? Also what about the chances of a jet drive? So to ask so many questions but there has not been much to excite me lately but this!!! Hope to see it soon!
  14. What fan did you use? Is it a bathroom fan? I still am having a little trouble trusting a bathroom fan even though they state the motors are sealed. Would the caustic fumes eat away at the widing covers? I need to vent mine about 12ft to a window so I can just leave my hotrods in without having to pull them all out of the garage. They are all protected with car covers so all I care about is the particulates and not the fumes. I am about ready to give up on venting my paint booth and just by one with a fan and toss mine in the can. I have looked at the Paasche booth on the 'bay and think thats the way I will go since Pace will not return my emails.
  15. I sent them a check last week for some evilbay purchases. I usually perfer paypal due to the ability to get my money back. But the amount was under $50 so I wasn't to worried. It was just a bunch of mopar conversion stuff so we will see when it gets here and I will post the timing it took. I tend to be a little cranky when it comes to waiting, seeing as I have a 2 year old order with Modern Motorsports that can not seem to get filled.
  16. Dwayne Sorry I missed the show. I was already to go a couple of weeks ago but forces conspired against me. Due to Ford selling us to a new buyer I had to move up my "Snip" to this last weekend so insurance would pay it. I was really looking forward to some "Barbosas" food and magaritas! But instead I got ice in the crotch instead. Looks like it was a great show, I will definitely be there next year! See Ya!
  17. I will be there but unfortunately without models. I have been spending to much time on my 1:1 for the show to have time to complete anything new for this year. If you need some one to judge come by my car, I usually park on the inside fence in turn one. I will be driving a black 66 Ply. Satellite with a hideous hood scoop! See ya there!
  18. Not to sound negative but I hope I am not at the next meeting. I would like to be there but I am currently trashing on my 1;1 66 Satellite in order to make the Lonestar Nats GoodGuys show in Texas. I have not made a meeting in the past few months due to summer events! But I will be there in Nov. hopefully with a few completed objects. Royal has the best store around in the 5 state area!
  19. Casey I love the color combo. Have you ever thought about coming to one of the TopShelf Models club meetings just up the road in Owasso? Post more pics I love where you are going with this.
  20. Looking good Marc I like the stance! I obviously won't be at the Model Meeting Saturday since I will probably be floating behind the cig. boat enjoying a cold adult beverage. Glad to see some work being done, I was able to get my Camaro in clear this week since the kids were at the lake with grandma! Oh yeah tell that daughter go POKES!!!!LOL!!!
  21. Man Kenny that Dart is flat awesome, would be even more killer with a dual plug elephant under the hood. The stance is dead on, of course I am partial to dog dished Mopars!
  22. David, What size are the pro-tech bolts you used on the rear spoiler and on the side skirts? By the way it is awesome as usual. Missed seeing your builds on the old board!
  23. Billy is right you cant go wrong with either one. I cringe at the thought of all the money I have spent with BSR. Another one to consider is Mikes decals for Nascar related stuff, they are also top notch. However stay away from Modern Motorsports. I have a had a $200+++ order with them since Nov. 2005 and have yet to see a dime of product just excuses and we will get to you promises!
  24. The concern over the hobby is the state of manfacturing as a whole. Shareholders are unwilling to accept current profit trends and they want more. Every year the shareholders want to see a rise in the profit trend. Not every year can be as good as the one before it. Sometimes there has to be a few bad years to weather. Some blame it on high wages here in the us and others blame it on currency issues. Mostly you can blame it on one thing, somewhere down the line you have to reinvest money in tooling and updated products that the public can get excited about. If you can't tell I used to be a engineer for a major auto manufacturer to be left nameless (used to have an oval on my paycheck). As of now these manufacturers want no control over there parts plants and are shedding plants to other companies as fast as they can. They are bleeding cash and are not selling products. You see when the cash was good they should have invested in future products knowing that some day buying habits will shift to other products just as they have always done. Hell its the death of the muscle car all over again in the industry. I bought from Tom and HH when his prices are right. I read here about local stores closing and lack of interest in modeling as a whole. I am lucky that we have a top rated lhs right here in Owasso Oklahoma (Tulsa) and I challenge anyone to find better ( I am sure they are some good ones out there)! If you ever get towards Tulsa you must stop at TopShelf Models. He admits times are changing and he must change with it. I have heard him say many times it is not the models he gets us on but the aftermarket items we have to have that go with them paint and etc.. including supplies. I have a new son and someday I know the hobby will be here for him in some fashion so I can share my hobby room with him. I have a buddy whose twin daughters (13 yrs) build just as good as any old guys and they are girls and can not wait to start a new project. I guess some see doom and gloom but I can only hope to think the future will have something good for us! If not I guess I got allot of stuff in my storage that I will make a mint on in Ebay land!!!LOL!!!
  25. I Long Hauled in my 1987 Buick Grand National this year, the tag was on Okie tag "SIX GUNS". Next year we are going back north to Madison WI! I am already counting the days!
