Weld Magnum wheels, where to get?
knarf replied to Hawk312's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
would these be the fronts? and similar to a top fuel dragster front wheel? -
no pix of this one today as it very nearly got crushed yesterday! thid has benn fighting me since december 2010. the rear wheel tub are just so dam big i'm playin hell gettin them tucked up up in far enough to get my stance right. i didn't think it would be all that hard to do but i'm starting to think that the good people at Audi never ment for an r8 to have the engine and slicks from a top fuel dragster!?!?

some very cool and interesting rides in this thread but nothing like mine, she's an 87 s-6 3/4(formerly s-10) affectionately named "rusty peg" and she's my 1:1 scale model kit...enjoy:)

this is an AMT 1/32 snap kit i did over the weekend to get the creative juices flowing. i swapped out the tires for a set of 1/25 set of goodyear's 66inch terra tire from an old bigfoot. also added a lft kit to get the body up above the new shoes.

this impala is amt's 62 ss kit that was so badly warped and ill-fitting that it had to be a custom job. i basically used only the engine(minus induction) the body and most of the interior from the kit. the frame is fabbed from two different monogram nascar frames, the induction is from a top fuel dragster kit by monogram along with the back rims and various other bits. hope you enjoy. note:yes i did just realize the driveshaft is missing:(

i'm working on an Audi R8 with top-fuel HEMI swapped in place of the measly stock 5.2l v8. other than the motor and all four tires and wheels this is a box stock build. biggest issue has been fitting them huge goodyear slicks on the rear.

working on that right now
