  1. welcome! i'm pretty new here myself and have been made to feel very welcomed as i'm sure you will be as well. i think your work looks just fine, love the stang. also i'm currently working on one of those r8s except mine has a a blown hemi from a top fuel dragster in it and also the huge goodyear slicks. it's in the "on the workbench thread somewhere.
  2. i just found this thread and was wondering, is it too late to jump in on this one? if not, my ride will be a 69 superbee.
  3. oh really? i honestly thought it was scratchbuilt as i was planning to do. thanks for the tip
  4. these colors look great together, awesome work you're doin
  5. love this steering wheel! gotta put one of these in a build
  6. i dabble in woodworking as well so i made up these shelves from 1x6. they're up out of the way and safe from damage. however, the dust bunnies still find their way up there. these run around 3 walls of the living room and 2 walls of the dining room.
  7. i've always been into cars ever since i can remember. been building models since round about age 5 and back them mom wouldn't let me have model glue(too messy). does anybody have a clue how hard it is to build a model with elmer's white glue? my first kit was "the cuckoo's nest ford van. modeling is a cost effective way to own every car you ever wanted
  8. that's a sweet machine
  9. ya know i would say creative for sure! but then i could be prejudiced since i'm currently putting a top fuel hemi into an audi r8! i like it and am following this one
  10. alright...the two that are pictured by the ruler are from model kits the 57chevy by amt and the 34 ford pickup(i believe). i did not realize they were meant to be trophy tops, i just thought "sweeeeet!!! scale models of scale models! that's a bit of right-on the others are a mix of hot wheels key chains, racing champions 1/144scale diecast(the two 57 chevies and the superbird) packaged as route 66 for k-mart and the black coupe is a mini hot wheels that came with a playset. here's more pix this one came from a an el cheapo electronic game where it just vibrated along a road.
  11. anybody else ever come across these scale models of scale models?
  12. ok...i didn't see this anywhere else so my best advice to a young modeler is...be careful with the knife and mindful of it's sharpness! then...have fun and may your paint always look good
  13. "Is military grade rust different because it is catalogued and documented?" that is too funny zenrat!
