  1. Thanks for the kind words guys. I have had this rail in my head for about 10 years. I may have a lead on some wire wheels for this thing. I'll check out that Herb Deeks and see what he has too, thanks John. Thanks again for looking.
  2. Thanks Matt & Kerry
  3. looks like you got a good base to work with. I'm realy gonna fallow this build. How are those Flashpoint bodies?..I have been on their website about 20 times and have yet to order anything.
  4. This front engine digger is being built from about 80% of the parts I got from the guys I traded with on this site.. I got a little carried away building this thing before I started snapping some pics of it to post. I'm going for a fictional, low buck, back yard build back in the day when these were king. I still have a long way to go. It doesn't compete with some of the other insanely machined dragsters on here, but I think she'll hold her own in the quarter mile.. thanks for looking..
  5. I just wanted to add to this list and say thank you to the great guys on here for being realy cool to talk to and have made some realy good trades with. Thanks again, Jim - Kc7wzl - Re14 - HNTR - Modlbldr - pa3de8 I am sorry if I have forgotten anyone, I deleated a few PMs before I had a chance to post this..
  6. I wanted something different too...here's my Henry j nice camera work huh? Your off to a great start Brett, I'm gonna fallow this build...
  7. Thanks Ray. You may be right...I'm still the new guy around here..

Revell USS Constitution "Old Ironside" Kit # 5404 ( skill 3 ) Revell Cutty Sark " the Fastes Clipper Ship" Kit # 5401 ( skill 3 ) I baught these kits years ago for my at the time girlfriend because she wanted to build them. Both models are complete. Now they just sit on my shelf. Let me know if your interested..thanks
  9. Cool...Gary Newman - "Cars"
  10. No, I'll try there. thanks Dave
  11. Cool lookin 4 door gasser..what is it?
  12. I use CA glue. I bend the parts out at the crack just a little bit and put a little CA super glue in the crack with a toothpic, then line the piece back up straight. When the glue dries I lightly sand the part back to its original shape..be carefull, I've made cracks worse by bending them out to much. Hope this helps...oh and if you do break it and you give up..you can send that chevy to me...Jim
  13. Some great tips guys I'm gonna research them all. Now how about ribbed blower pulleys and iderler pulleys..?
  14. Just got done going through there site. Looks like they want like $8 - $9 dollars each belt. The same goes for there pullys. I was looking for a cheaper alternative since most of what I build is drag. That could get pretty expensive..
  15. Man, you guys build some nice stuff on here..
  16. I've been looking a long time for these,Thanks Andy..
  17. The heat tape they use to witerize boats works really well for this. I have used it a couple time on some older builds. Then Like Carl said, use a damp sponge to wipe of the small bits left behind.
  18. Anybody got any Ideas on what material to use to make 1/25 scale ribbed blower belts. I have been to craft stores to trift stores and have come up with nothing. How about ribbed blower pullys? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated . thanks
  19. Thanks Gluehead. I have made a few out of solder that looked "ok". I drill corisponding holes in the cylinder head, take four equil lengths of solder guel them at one end to make it a square shape. Then i proced to bend and rout them into the heads from the unglued end. I use polyolfin heat shrink tubing to use at the glued end to make the collector. I just put a piece of round stock aluminum in the other end of the tubing and butt it up against the squared end of solder beore i heat shrink it. Then I spray paint the whole thing before i glue them into the head. They never seem to look as good as how you made yours. Nice job..i am definitley gonna steal your idea. thanks again...Jim
  20. Does anyone know the best way to make over the frame headers for gassers? How about an aftermarket that makes them in resin? the ones from the Mpc'57 chevy gasser style are what i'm looking for.. Thanks, Jim
