  5. Thank for all the kind words.. you guys are right , it would run in the altered class. This was built to compete with another great builder on this site, Brian Drumm. We are competing in 3 model shows . The first one was Nov of this year and the last one being I believe Sept '18. I designed a front end for it from a '41 chevy pickup, but I couldn't get the look I was going for in the time allotted for the build. So, I just left it off and called it finished. /// Steve Martin. The trunk "key" is just a old chrome screwdriver i found in a parts box. I cleaned up the flash and hit it with red and blue Sharpies to look like an old Craftsman. /// Steve Hardesty , I'm glad you like it. I am proud of it, thank you. /// Keith, that is probably the best complement I ever got for my builds. " I keep going back and admiring it" .Thanks.

  12. Hi all, I been on this forum for a number of years now over in the model car section. About a month ago, I bought an old Tyco slot car track for my grandson and I to play with when he comes over. Well, guess who's been playing with it more than he has. I was into H/O slot cars back in the early 80s but, when I turned 15, I sold all my stuff to a kid down the street and pursued "other" interest. Needles to say, now, I regret getting rid of all 20-30 cars and miles of track I had. So, I am interested in getting some cars but I don't wanna dish out ebay prices. Can someone point me in the right direction to start building a modest collection of slot cars without going broke.? I have kits and parts to trade if anyone is interested. Thanks, Jim U
