Started this on Friday... It's for a buildoff on a FB group... Ends on May 26... Rims are from the Tamiya VW Beetle with the tires from Hoppin hydros... Resin air filter trimmed to fit... Front and rear bumper holes filled in and smoothed, cut a new exhaust hole for the stinger exhaust...

Got the interior done... Pabst Blue Ribbon... I laugh everytime I hear those words from Blue Velvet...

Actually, I haven't the slightest idea... But I'm not using the hood anymore... Gonna look through the stash and find some decent hood hinges so I can mount those opened...

It's been a minute, but I've got the body in primer, and the interior tub in paint and flocked... Speakers removed from package tray...

Thank you... Got the cab in primer and the fenders are on, and cut the bed sides for clearance on the wheels...

Clear over the gel pen... It won't smudge if you do light coats...

Smoothed the running boards , bed floor, and cut a section of the floor out... So far where I'm at...

Got some shaving done and filled the door mounts in and more than likely I'm gonna glue the doors back on... I hate arguing with the hinges on these kits...

It's been a few months since I've built anything.. I've moved around so much in the past 6 months, and finally settled in our home in Tennessee where I'm taking care of my Dad who's terminally ill with lymphoma... Just got my supplies from our old place in Florida... So yea, I'm happy to be back at the bench.. Most importantly, I'm happy to say we are finally home... Everything has just been so crazy that I almost gave up at one point on everything... Enough of me rambling... Here's whats on the bench... The reissue of the 40 Ford pickup... So refreshing to have one of these that isn't molded in that red... Yes it's gonna be low... , but with a slight rake...What I've done so far... Removed the exhaust from the frame , front bumper mount holes filled in and smooth, hood louvers removed... More to come...
