  1. This is an absolutely excellent build!!
  2. Stunning build. I think I should finally build mine.
  3. Here’s an unfinished Riv
  4. Box stock build of a Vintage AMT (Johan) kit.
  5. It’s something I made up. I’m an automotive painter so I invent a lot of my colors.
  6. Nascar Tbird for sure!! Had to splice two 66 chassis together. A 68-72 Grand Prix rode a 118 wheelbase. While a Monte rode a 116 and the rest of the two doors rode a 112 wheelbase.
  7. Thanks it’s one of my favorite builds.
  8. This was built from a Grand Superfly kit from the doors back. The front clip was cut from a rebuilder 71 annual. I did it this way cause it was easier then sanding the front half of the vinyl roof off the annual kit. Plus the sunroof marking was a bonus. The sunroof however was too far forward so I moved it back about an eighth inch and opened it up. Spliced two Revell 66 GTO chassis to fit. Engine came from the GTO too. Made a 4 speed plate for the console. Used the wood wheel and nicer column from the GTO too.
  9. 65 Riviera inspired by the Matin Bros build
  10. Johan Rebel on a stretched NASCAR chassis
  11. Not the monogram kit this is the new Revell 1:25 scale kit
  12. Sweet and in the best color for one of these
  13. Pretty much out of the box except for lowered and wheel and tires. Mean Machine țires and wheels
  14. Sweet! One of the prettiest cars ever made.
  15. Absolutely!!! First off this is an old technique. I glue strips on for the moldings and seams. I lightly sand the seam strips to soften the edges up. Then I mask off whatever I don’t want textured. I use SEM brand lacquer in a rattle can to spray the roof. I hold the can back 2 feet from the model and dust light coats on. Let dry about five minutes between coats keep dusting coats on until you like the way it looks. Usually about eight gray dusting coats will do it. I hate the masking tape method it looks clunky to me. And it can start popping up down the road.
  16. Not since 69 unless you find a resin
  17. A pretty basic build. Mostly out of the box. I added the vinyl top and tires and wheels by Mean Machine(Highly highly recommended)
  18. Can someone tell me for sure what colors the AMT 66 Riviera promo was produced in?
  19. Excellent I’d never go back. It takes a little getting used to especially if it’s real humid. Put color control is outstanding.
  20. This is a close match to shadow turquoise.
  21. It’s automotive water borne basecoat with 2k clear. The color is Chrysler RPE that I added some coarser pearl to.
  22. A couple years back I built one of these to look like my good friend’s car. I really liked the way it came out so I decided to build another one. This time I built it as I would do a 68 Chevelle. I lowered it put Zimmerman Magnums on it and homemade exhaust tips. I also made aircraft landing light lenses for the high beams. I painted the groove in the lower molding black like a Chevelle Concours would be done. Just because I like the look of it.
  23. I missed this before. Absolutely beautiful!!
