1st Comission
Belugawrx replied to Belugawrx's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
After a very busy summer I'm back to it. Got most of it together after much sanding and polishing. The paint is Duplicolour primer, (sand,sand...wash), colour, (get this) Duplicolour Hemi Orange engine paint, it actually has a nice scale metallic to it!,(sand...sand, wash), then a three coat clear, then I sand the clear with 3M 2000 grit, Tamiya Fine compound (flannel rag), and finally Maguire's ultimate polish until it squeeks!! Next I need to build an appropriate base with cover glass. I'll post in under glass when done and it better be sooner than later...1 month left!!! -

My good friend asked me to build a model of his sisteroutlaw's logo truck for her Bday... I couldn,t say no..... Ugly mold lines and pin marks It'll be screwed down to a base with glass over so....... her logo truck has a spare mounted above the rear fender, drivers side so..... used up all of my flush moonies so I guess I'm sanding and Alcladding 5 moonies for this one HaHaHa

My girlfriend bought this for my 51st birthday and I had to build it.... before I could move on, ya know? It just about put itself together no sh!1! Never liked that grille so... paint it out. And the flat black hood..... I'm in a flat black phase... so sue me lol Paint is duplicolor brake caliper paint (grabber green)haha. Over duplicolor sandable grey primer. Quite striking, I've never shot that color (eyes open wide jaw drops, am I sure??) Hells Ya!!! 3 coats of duplicolor Acrylic Enamel Clear-- all rattlers-- right colour----- ready for polish and finish.
