  1. .......clear coat tomorrow, wetsand, and then flat coat sun or mon.
  2. Dave, it's from the Revell '48 Ford custom kit.
  3. Shoebox!!!!!!!
  4. Oooops, here's the pic.
  5. ......color and clear finally dry after 48 hrs, pinstriping applied to trunk.
  6. Such an awesome build. I knew I should have gone to the SoCal NNL.
  7. Glad the parts cleaned up nicely!
  8. Can't wait to see the completed build!
  9. Mike, I agree. Too much of a good thing, but on some body styles, it never goes out of style.
  10. The peak has been sanded off of the hood and the hood has been reprimered. The body has it's first coat of black. Now to figure out what colors for the interior.
  11. Awesome build!
  12. Blair, that's the kit wheel back and the black wall tires that came out in the first release. I'll be running the whitewalls when it's finished. Carl, thanks! The body is now in primer. Looking at the hood, I'm thinking about sanding off the peak like on my first build. Especially since there is no exterior trim.
  13. Nice concept and fab work!
  14. And here's how it sits Blair:
  15. Oh yeah, that supercharged V-6 is lookin' good!
  16. I trimmed a little bit more from the upper control arm after this pic was taken.
  17. .......and here's what it looks like altogether.
  18. Here's the notch showing the trimmed and notched upper control arm.
  19. And here's the "lowered" front "spindles. I cut off the kit mounting points, used strip styrene to lower its location, added a length of square behind the strip for reinforcing and locating it along the center of the upper control arm, and added "c" channel to the front for strength also.
  20. Cut down rear springs for the amount of drop I wanted. I'm only using the top portion.
