  1. I feel that if you're going to lock Dave Susan's thread, you should lock this one as well... This is no place for an political talk.
  2. The 40 minute chase scene from the original gone in 60 seconds...
  3. Thanks for the pictures Bob! I really enjoyed them! I wish I could have been there.
  4. It's the 21st century Bill! Don't ya mean "Back to the 'ol electronic brain"? Again, Happy birthday!
  5. I have 2 copy's of the paint story on masking models (S.A. mag, and an insert on painting models). It's a great looking car! You did an excellent job writing the articles also. I've followed your instructions and have gotten great results. Thanks!
  6. Looks great Ismael! The yellow really stands out! I know what you mean about going into a slump. I went into one, tried to dig myself out, made it worse... I'm finally getting back into the swing of things, and with your help you've given me with the Astrovette, everything's going good! Looking forward to seeing more of this one soon... Hang in there!
  7. Then you need to get a Hot Wheels Willy's, paint it the same as those two, and make it a model, of the model of the pedal car, which is a model of the 1/6th model, which is the model of a real... What was I saying??? Nice work you've done so far! I'm enjoying this!
  8. Sorry Dan, I didn't notice you had posted a question... The new rear door is partially done. I just gotta cut it and shape it, and then add a window to it. I'm waiting on a kit I bought on Evilbay, that has the original frame and interior. Thanks Dan!
  9. The quality's great, and yes, it's on DVD. The video of old racing is great! I just watched it again tonight, and I gotta tell ya, I miss O.C.I.R. It sucks they turned it into a housing development. Some of the best times I had as a kid were at that track...
  10. Thanks Nick! I've set this build aside, so that I can restore it properly... By that I mean I have purchased an MPC 1968 Corvette kit, and I'm just waiting for it to arrive... I'll be back on it soon. For now I just put a television "technical difficulty" sign here, and play some elevator music...
  11. It's great the way the other racers let the procession go ahead of them. That is real unity!
  12. Put on hold for a week while I wait for parts...
  13. That is too cool! Now I'll have to watch it from part 1 on...
  14. Same here... I would love to see Tamiya come out with a 1/12th kit of that!
  15. This is a cool story... http://www.kenoshanews.com/news/racing_in_peace_6494145.html
  16. My re-issue didn't come with the trailer It would've great if it did. Here's a couple of pics of the "Corpsevette"...
  17. Anybody else seen the movie "Funny Car Summer"? I got it about a month ago from Evilbay. I originally saw it at the movie theater when it first came out in 1974...
  18. Not quite... I have to make a new rear door for it, because the president of the model club I belonged to lost it when he went to the local T.V. news studio for the interview he was going to do for the club contest.
  19. One was enough...
  20. The Mako Shark? Thanks Jim! Both. I want to save as much of the original kit, but use today's skills and knowledge to rebuild it. I'd like to rebuild the original frame, but it may not work out as well as I hoped. I know a lot of it will have to be scratchbuilt to fix it...
  21. I'd like to keep it white because it would be correct, although Graphite gray sounds like a cool color for a Vette. Maybe I'll use it on the next Corvette I've got planned. Thanks Dan! I have the MPC Mako Shark kit(reissue, not original), and a kit that was made from the same kit, but with a different body and interior, that wasn't as well known called the MPC Demon Vette. If it turns out you need pieces for the Mako, let me know.
  22. I think I'll stick to white... Although it was painted orange at one time... http://www.corvettes.nl/prototypes/page42/page42.html
