  1. I'm gonna say model...
  2. Does he ever! He builds some of the most beautiful Vettes around
  3. I spent last night getting the hook for the tow sling set. I had to mock up the parts that have yet to be painted. here's the pics.
  4. As Rob pointed out, and I forgot to mention, it would be a full detail build either way. I not thinking about doing an overkill on the customizing, just some changes to the hood, maybe some sidepipes, custom mag wheels, so on... Thanks Rob, my brain is still in bed...
  5. Go Speed Racer, GO!!! I'm thinking about customizing it. I think I'll start a poll...
  6. Funny... That's EXACTLY what I thought when it happened to me!
  7. Hmmm... I was born in the City Of Orange, raised in San Clemente, and left there in 1994. I'd say I was a Californian. And for the Santa Ana winds, and the fires that come with it, I'd been through them since 1963. Just because you live there now and I don't, doesn't give you the right to say that neither Dave nor I are not still Californians at heart.
  8. Good looking car your building there Dave! I like what I see so far (of course everything you've done is AWESOME). I'm exactly the same as you Dave. Whatever strikes my mood gets worked on, and I never hurry when working on them (I have a tendency to change a design on whatever halfway through the build). Part of myself is still a Californian as well... Just a lot harder to surf here!!!
  9. What she said!
  10. AWESOME work Emily! My first model was such a glue bomb that it was embarrassing... I look forward to seeing your next build!
  11. Haha... Just remembered that I have an MPC Voodoo Vette kit in my stash. The frame looks the same as the one shown in the pics I posted, but I'll have to wait and see if I will be able to use it. Thanks again Jon!
  12. Thanks Jim! That'll give me more leeway for finding parts. Appreciate the info! Thanks for the picture of the box art Jon! Do you have any of the side panels? Thanks again!
  13. ALLLLRRRRRRRIIIGGHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!! Cool Lyn! Back to being a working girl huh? Definitely cool!
  14. I completely understand...
  15. LOL!!!! Thanks for the history and the laugh! I'll either give the original parts a bath, or look for the '68 you talked about. I paid $22.50 for it, so I'm guessing I got a good deal on it. Thanks for the help Ismael!
  16. The clearcoat's a little thick, but other than that... COOL!!!!
  17. Now THAT'S dedication to building!!!! WOW!!! Looking forward to seeing more!
  18. Wait til you drop one and it goes into your leg... YEEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWWWCCCCCCCCHHHH!!!!
  19. Can anyone tell me who made this Corvette model? I got it off Evilbay a little while ago, and plan to restore it, but I'd like to know who made it, so I can get a donor kit to use for parts. Possibly an MPC/AMT by the looks of the oil pan. Anybody know?
  20. Thanks! I twisted some thin wire together... Made my wrist sore after awhile.
  21. Thanks! The tow bed is almost complete, here's some pics... Let me know what you think...
