Your the perfect person to do this Bill. Your models are excellent, and you always have time to answer questions on certain building procedures (I know I've asked my fair share, and always got an answer from you). I say we start a petition to have this post pinned so it will always be easy to find for the new generation of modelers (and the ones who are re-starting their modeling). Thanks for doing this for us Bill, your work is sincerely appreciated!

This kit started as a SnapTite kit that I got from Lyn on Evilbay, but I'm adding to it. Engine is molded in on the body And on the frame But that won't do Didn't care for the snap in roof lights and horns either A Gibson resin supercharged 737 C.I. should fill it up nicely More later

Your welcome!

Had a problem with the clearcoat. I used DupliColor Bermuda Blue paint, and then I used Model Master Custom Lacquer ultra gloss clearcoat on it. I used up the first can on the body, and then opened a second can and painted the bed. For some unknown reason, it washed out the blue, and turned it silver. I don't have a clue.... I just wanted something to build stock, with no modifications. I wired the engine, but that's all I did to it. Thanks for the compliment! Thanks! I thought about using really thin sheet plastic, and covering it with foil to fix the mirrors. I'll have to see about mylar though, that could be another fix I could try.

I got this from Evilbay, from Lyn here on the forum. It's finished, except for the mirrors, which have a big indentation in them. This was a 2 week build.

The Ultimate Natural Weathering

It'll look great when he rebuilds it. Should be cool! -
Awesome Clay! Not to nit pick, but there is just one thing you forgot to add.... The rollbar. Keep yourself safe over there, and we'll keep you in our prayers.

Anyone want to come help my model storage?
Custom Hearse replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I'd be like a kid in a candy store! You'd have to kill me to get me out of the storage locker! I wish I could come down and help, but work is calling.... -
A thought and a thank you

I have no idea by what you mean.... I mean what same blah blah blah blah? Blah blah blah blah is a whole other blah blah blah. -

Give it a try Lyn. I for one would be glad to help out any way I could. If you had any questions I would be happy to answer them, and so would a lot of other builders. If you don't, that's okay too, but I think you would enjoy it. And as George pointed out, your Dad will be there watching, proud of his daughter. -
Do you ever get the feeling?
Custom Hearse replied to Custom Hearse's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Your voice counts whether you build or not. You are a member here on this forum who is kind, and I appreciate it. Everybody who answered this post in the positive, I also appreciate you. -
Laquer Paint on enamle primer...
Custom Hearse replied to ProStr33t's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I use ColorPlace primer from Wal-Mart, and I've had no problems painting lacquer or enamel on it. And it costs like $1.00. -
That you're not wanted? Is it something I said? Something I did? Was my personality overly strong? I've never cheated, lied, stolen, or intentionally hurt anyone here, yet I feel when I'm on this forum, I don't feel welcome by 95% of the members, including Gregg and Harry. So I'll no longer post, nor will I answer any and all questions and posts. I've tried to figure out what it is that I could've done. Maybe I don't go to a lot of shows. Maybe I just tried to be too friendly. Maybe It's because I'm not as well known as most of the people here. I'm not trying to get people to feel sorry for me, or to take pity on me. I don't want that. I just don't understand why people choose to ignore what I say or do. I made an offer to donate some money to Gregg the other day to help him get another airbrush since his was stolen. I did it because I've been the victim of theft, and I had friends who helped me replace the the stolen property. I get the feeling though that when I made the offer that people thought that I was trying to buy his friendship. I didn't care one way or the other if he would've liked me any more. I just wanted to help out a fellow modeler who was taken advantage of. But as usual I was ignored, as usual. That's all I have to say....

You should take the body and parts that are unaltered and see if you can get it resin cast. I would love to have about 6 of those to build!

Those look awesome Steve! I need to pick me up 1 or 2.... or 6.... or 12.... maybe a couple dozen perhaps? I just wish someone would come out with a plastic kit of the Ford P.I. as well detailed as those. I would love to build a replica of my 1:1. -

That's cool! I only see one thing wrong with it. The spotlight sits a little too high on the A-pillar. It should sit closer to the front fender hood.... Other than that, it looks fantastic!
