  1. Worked a little on the hood today. It didn't quite fit, so I sanded the back edge. I just need to add something to the sides to fill in the gaps... Before: After: The underside rear needs a little work to correct it. The taillights are flush on the 1:1, so I'm gonna fill these in and add new ones...
  2. Hmmm... Waddaya think of pink & purple? NAH!!!
  3.
  4. Looks awesome to me... So you must have talent! Keep up the good work!
  5. I've seen his work in the "other" magazine. He has done some beautiful work with kits! I don't know his number, so you'll have to give him best for me, and let him know that a lot of people are keeping their hopes high for him.
  6. I've started working on the old MPC Astrovette kit that I mentioned before. I dismantled the the kit, and found that I was lucky. The body parts were painted, then glued together, so kit came apart easily. So far I've cleaned up the main body, and gave it a coat of white primer. The rear underside panel needs very little work to it, but the front panel needs a ton of work to correct the kit. The frame will have to be replaced. There's no way around it. The front fender wells were heavily glued on sideways, along with everything else on the frame, then painted, so the parts have permanently been attached. Before: After: Nose piece: Nose piece attached: I see a lot of sanding, sheet plastic and filler in my future!
  7. That'll be awesome when you're finished! Post an update when you get a chance!
  8. Love the chopped and channeled Vicky! Welcome to the forum!
  9. I'm a security enforcement officer/supervisor. I wanted to be a police officer, but since I have 3 pins in my right hip (accident at the age of 9), I was not able to join the police force, nor was I allowed to enter any armed services. I'm also a part time storm spotter/chaser for NOAA/Skywarn.
  10. This doesn't have cars in it, but it is hilarious! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vPJkQsP20A...feature=related

  17. You're correct Harry. I kept thinking 34 for some reason.
  18. Aluminum wheels?!? Where do I find a set?!?
  19. Actually it's a 1934 Ford. I just got one from Evilbay not too long ago.
  20. Thanks Fernando! I've got 3 of the '78 T/A kits in my stash, 2 of the original issues also. I'm gonna fix the center of the steering wheel by adding a piece of plastic rod to it. I might have a Corvette decal that I can use for the center of it. No need to worry bud, I've decided to restore it to stock. Thanks for the help!
  21. Thanks Gerald! I'll have to keep an eye on it.
  22. I have that kit in my stash. The AMT/MPC Corvette kit will not work with it. Monogram made 2 other kits from the original Tom Daniels "California Vette", one of them was the Monogram Corvette SS Hatchback, kit # 2212, can't remember what the other one was. http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/tdaniel_vette.html and as far as I know, no other kit will work will work with it. Dave, I WISH they would re-release it!
  23. This has been great to watch Bill! The engine color is excellent also! My best to you and your lady!
  24. That would've been cool to see! Thanks for the help! Thanks to you also! I had the 1/16th '63 myself, but I can't remember what it was like to build... I hope the rear bumper isn't too bad to work with! That would reek!
  25. I haven't seen that cartoon in years! I loved it!
