Looks real good Tony, love the color, for the wood you could use some thinned down brown acrylic craft paint and make a brown wash out of it or Detail Master sells the Detailer washes which I use and like very much. This is just my opinion, but I would have sanded off the trademark on the bottom of the step. Look forward to more progress!!
Very NICE reproduction of the 1:1, ahhh brings back fond memories, I had a 66 red on red, if I had only had the insight back then I would still have it today, you did a great job!!
Now that is CRAZY, Jim but I LIKE it alot, just something about some American muscle ( what, about 900 HP ) under the hood of a Mercedes, now that's what I'm talking about, great job on the engine!!
Very NICE build Nick, I too built that kit back in the day, but it met its demise, but I still have the wheels and I'm going to use them on an upcoming project, looks great!!
Blair you did an awesome job on that truck, I'm sure your friend would have been proud to have recieved it, and that is an extremely nice jesture on your part with the auction and proceeds, kudos man!!
Have you checked out www.chrometechusa.com they do rechroming of plastic model parts not sure if they do gold or not but I would venture to say they do, and from what little I have looked at their site the prices are pretty reasonable.
