  1. Thanks guys
  2. Haha I know how you feel Matthew, My 89 F150 (workin on a replica now) has the dual tanks, takes about $100 to fill both where I'm at. I'm glad mine is not diesel I don't think I could afford it!
  3. Finished this one up finally. I lost parts to this car in a move and it took me forever to buy another kit to replace the parts. Its painted 2011 plum crazy purple that I got a gallon of from a friend at a Dodge dealership. I would like to get the decals for the wing and the driver side headlight at some point but until then it's done.
  4. built this pretty much box stock with some weathering. It's got some rust holes and a different colored hood and tailgate. I scratch built the salt spreader and added the lightbar, a stock air cleaner and a gas can from my parts box. Overall very happy with this one.
  5. I agree Mike, I look at it kind of like I look at gas prices, is it too much? yes, am I going to buy it anyway? yes. I have been hoping for a super duty kit for years so I'm ok with paying a little more.
  6. oh ok, must be a little cheaper for me because of me being closer to the seller, I think my total came to $68 and some change.
  7. I ordered one and it was only $8 to ship, still comes out to almost $70 but since my taxes came back I couldn't resist .
  8. A pre-order for this kit popped up on ebay today he's looking for $59.50 before shipping. Says delivery in late April to early May.
  9. That looks awesome, I really like the rollback instead of the wrecker body.
  10. That's sweet! The welding bed came out great.
  11. That's a really nice lookin build, I like the color combo
  12. Another sweet lookin 4x4, nice build!
  13. That looks sick! My kinda truck!
  14. I will, I probably won't have it off for a couple weeks but once it is off I will be sure to post pics.
  15. Thanks for the help guys! I will definitely try out your suggestions.
  16. So I was at a model show where a guy had a zip lock bag with parts to three pickup truck kits in it. One is a really bad chop job on the 78 ford tuff truck dually, the second is the monogram 80 f150 flareside which is in good shape, but the third is this dodge. I knew what it was when I saw it and since these kits are usually over $150 I figured I would try to save it but as you can see it is really rough. If anyone out there has any suggestions on how I might fix this mess it would be greatly appreciated. I only paid $5 for the whole bag and most of the parts are missing to the 78 ford and the dodge but I would still like to build it if I can. FYI I bought it in this shape I haven't done anything to it yet.
  17. Looks good nice weathering, love those old dodge a100 pickups.
  18. That looks amazing, I followed the WIP on this glad to see it finished. Great job!
  19. That's pretty cool looking, good idea.
  20. That looks awesome! what a cool idea.
  21. Thanks everyone glad to hear good reviews , and Jeff it is supposed to have that motor, I might switch it once I get one of the Mobius fords (if they ever come out haha I've been waiting forever!) but for now the 5.8 will have to do.
  22. That looks awesome, you have a great talent for weathering.
  23. Made this as a replica of my Dad's 95 f150 plow truck. Its is a kit bash of the GMC plow truck and the AMT F150 xlt. I took the suspension, wheels, tires and the plow parts from the GMC and the rest is from the ford kit. The only thing that I had to live with being inaccurate is the 5.8 v8 engine (the real truck has the 4.9 v6). Overall I'm very happy with this model and the kit, my only issue was the bed not sitting quite right, I cut off all the tabs on the back to try and fix it but that's just how it wants to be on there and I can live with it. It was fun to do a replica of my dad's truck that was the important part. I want to figure out how to find or maybe print out some fisher decals for the plow but until then it's on the shelf.
