Our club does a 24 hr build in Jan. The idea is to get friends together to build and have fun. Its a blast to hangout with fellow builders and just have fun. Dont knock it until you try it.

It is a sad time for our area. The LHS where our club meets is calling it quits. They are losing the building the shop is in on Jan 3rd. The couple that runs it are the nicest people you could ever meet. Alan and Rose have gone out of thier way to do anything for our club. They offer us discounts and stay late so we can have our meetings. With the closing of the shop I feel that a piece of all the members in the NCWVSM will be gone too. If you still have a LHS please do all you can to support it. Whitehall Book & Craft will surely be missed. Thanks for all you did for us and the hobby we love.

The Olde Potbelly Gang sent out invitations to a few clubs to participate in a Best of Best Club Shootout. Only 3 clubs this year. Three Rivers. Olde Potbelly and NCWVSM. They had an independent judge decide the winner. The theme was 40's-60's Mass Produced Autos. Had to be built like it would have been in those years. Here are the pics from Sundays show. Our club did very good. 4 1st Place and 2 3rd Place. Plus our club won the shootout between clubs. So all in all we had a good day. Got to meet hangout with Will(willysurvive) Dave(victorsmalls) Sully, Tom and the rest of the guys from our club.
