  1. Modifying Lil Red is not a problem but I think it is better idea to built rarer Midnite Express. It has 440 cubic inch 4BBL V8, A-727 automatic, black color and different decals. I made Midnite decals using autocad and next I send them to my friend to print with Alps-printer. Hope they succeed.
  2. I have bought AMT 1978 Dodge Lil Red Truck to built accurate model, but I found several problems: - is engine really 360 police special? - model has floor shifter and manual transmission - tranny should be automatic with column shifter - tail lights should be round not square - air cleaner is missing air tubes - wrong side mirror brackets - tailgate is asymmetrical and decals do not fit I was really surprised about those imperfections. What do you think? It is still possible to built it right or convert it to Midnite Express but where to get decals?
  3. You mean the 426 Street Wedge , it is cool engine, cooler than hemi. Yes, first I think to built Custom Sports Special Crew Cab like this D100 CSS
  4. Yellow engine would be much better but I found pictures such kind of engine too late. Slant has already been painted and wired
  5. Yes, it needs but 426 street hemi was not an option to Crew Cab 1964, only CSS could be ordered with that monster. I tried to find Chrysler Poly A 318 ci V8 but I could not find any kit with it.
  6. Hi! This is my first Modelhaus kit and I have been quite pleased its quality although it was a bit expensive. The kit contains all parts to built curbside model. The chassis was not what I wanted because it was promo style and I don't usually use them. I decided to show Dremell to fix it but something went wrong Lindberg L-700 chassis was almost suitable but too short so I had to modify it. Chassis is still in progress. Front and rear suspension is modified L-700 and rear axle is built from resin rear end and aluminium tube. Body is painted Interior is ready. Poor little slant gives decent performance and was one of the most popular engine sold to this truck. Stance testing before I noticed that door panel lines are wrong and needs correcting. Wheels are form the kit but tires are from Jeep. More to come...
  7. Not today but this summer investment: - R&R Hudson 4-door '48 resin kit - R&R Rambler 4-door sedan '59 resin kit - Jo-Han 1959 Rambler Wagon '59 - Monogram CJ-7 - RMR Jeep Wagoneer resin kit - Revell Jeep Honcho - Missing Link AMC Ambassador 2D HT '69 resin kit - MCW AMC Matador '72 Race Car resin kit - MCW AMC Ambassador 2D HT '66 resin kit - Revell Mustang LX 5.0 '90 (I don't know why I bought this, maybe the nice box art) + resin parts, tires, engines and so on... All bought from USA. You can't find old interesting kits (Nash, Hudson, Jeep, Rambler, AMC) in Finland and new releases are too expensive.
  8. I usually collect as much photos I can form the car, outside, interior, chassis, suspension, engine and all details I found usefull. Technical data and model year differences are important too. For my SC/Rambler project I have gathered nearly 600 photos. Other way to start is find suitable car for specific engine. For example, I bougth Gibson supercharged RoadHammer Hemi and then choose AMT Matador as a project car. Still unfinished project
  9. Ron send some pictures. Looks great. Where has he hiding these for 6 years?
  10. Found this in ebay, Dodge Cummins 6.7 l turbo diesel engine resin kit. I have never seen 1/25 diesel engines in any car kits or casted in resin. I know Ken's kustoms flocking material but not resin engines. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cummins-Dodge-Fans-RESIN-CAST-1-25th-Scale-6-7L-Turbo-Diesel-Kit-/261254236711?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item3cd3f74a27&nma=true&si=D%252B74IQVcBaVIfcrk5pkN6waGx7U%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  11. Born in 1962. My favourite is Plymouth Sport Fury '62.
  12. Really nice, I love this car model. Some suggestions: You could add black upper mounting brackets above front springs in the engine room. Park/directional lights and side marker lights could be painted clear orange.
  13. Poor little Topolino gets engine swap. Is two olds bigblocks enough?
  14. Valiant '64 AWB projetct needs altered wheelbase chassis and straight front axle and suspension parts. Any ideas where to find those parts? I makes not sense to buy 2-3 gasser modelkits to get neended parts for one AWB racer. AMT '71 Duster has almost right A-body cahassis but it needs heavy modification and front suspension in not correct to AWB model.
  15. Thanks gyus. I really like to built 6 cylinder engines. My current project modelhaus Dodge D200 crew cab has also slant six with modified L700 chassis.
  16. Yes, I really like it Nice to see these classics built.
  17. Dodge has not made pickups based on passenger cars so I decided to create one. I had a junk Revell Coronet R/T body and some its parts. Here I started: After some cutting, filling, sanding gluing and painting pickup was born Engine is slant six with turbo. Chassis has been modified from stock and get brake and fuel lines. It was fun to make although it took 6 months to finnish.
  18. I send an email to RMR Ron and he has it stock so I ordered one kit. It is '73 and I like to buit '71 so I have to combine Missing Link '71 hornet and this. Some work to be expected Luckily I have '71 Sportabout in the garage for reference.
  19. Hi! I'm 50 years old modeller from Helsinki. Somehow there was 16 years break from this hobby but now I have buit models three years again. I like early '60 mopars and especially Rambler, AMC and Jeep models. In the garage there is '71 AMC Sportabout waiting for restoration.
