UK ebay seller has 4 door Belvedere kit. Is this true? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Moebius-Model-kit-1-25-1965-Plymouth-Belvedere-/291662887001?hash=item43e8767859:g:g~4AAOSw-zxWnRkD
Here is other engine to compare their sizes and it is is from Jo-Han SC/Rambler kit but I think both are 1/25 scale. Gibson drag race engines needs huge engine compartment like chevelle or charger have.
I decided to continue my old project I started five years ago. It is combination of AMT '75 Matador and Revell '55 chevy pro sportsman and Ross Gibson Roadhammer Hemi.
Frame and interior needs some fitting...
...but it is can be done.
Engine parts
Paint scheme is Matador BWR
Early test fitting before repainting.
Next front suspension and steering.
This tribute trar is ready for service.
A real world car can be found here: http://bangshift.com/general-news/roadside-find-a-1962-rambler-snow-plow-trar/
I painted body with Future/X-21 -mixture and then sanded it lightly with 1200 sandpaper and polished it with tissue to get proper matte finish. Tamiya weathering master B and C will give rust and dirt to body.
This is simple way to get bigger tires straight and same track front and back.Best glue for this job is 5 minutes epoxy.
I think front wheels looks better when you can see disk brakes through them.
Interior has been painted and I tried to make it a bit worn.
Wheel base had to shorten 1 cm and rear drive shaft too. Front wheels are modified bacause front trac is too wide. Snow plow is also under construction
Ford 4x4 chassis is in progress but It still needs some trimmig to rambler body. Engine is '97-98 5.4 l Ford V8 as it comes with the kit. Rambler original 232 straight six would be another option but it would be more difficult to install to the Ford chassis.
Underside
Rambler chassis fits quite well on the Ford frame.
I have had a poor Classic taxi promo for years but not interested in restoring it. One day I found this site http://bangshift.com/general-news/roadside-find-a-1962-rambler-snow-plow-trar/ and saw the light. Winter is coming and I need a reliable snow plow, and right brand of course.
First I bought Lindberg Ford F-150 4x4 kit because of its four wheel chassis. In ebay I found resin roof lights and horn. I needed snow plow too and it cme from Revell GMC pickup.
By now body, chassis and wheels are painted but it need some rust and dirt.
Nice scrambler. Better can't be built out of the box,
It is shame Jo-Han used in this kit '66 Rogue 2DHT body with convertible interior, slightly updated old 327 V8, torque tube tranny and wrong rear end.
