  1. I don’t think there are a lot of people interested in monster trucks on this forum but I will share this one anyway Personally I’m a big fan of these mighty machines and that’s why I build this one and added some details. The box is from Lindberg and based on the Rammunition truck, I don’t think the scale is exactly what it should be (too big) but still lot of fun to build. Added custom details: Drilled the distributor and added sparkplug wires Custom made fuel rails with injectors and lines on the blower Resin hose joints on the front and rear axles and added hydraulic lines for power steering Resin hose joints to the hydraulic pomp on the blower with all the lines to the axles Hydraulic lines from the driver stick and steering pump Breather hoses from the valve covers. Resin hose joints with fuel lines from the tank to the engine and gauges Photo etched 6 point seatbelt Stockcar fuel inlet on the tank and BMF belts. A few extra decals on the chassis and interior Paint used: Vallejo Air for about everything Tamiya red for the rims (Brush) Zero 2K clear for body You can find the build of this one here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=79757&st=0&p=1017112
  2. I changed my mind and I used the original firewall Dont like the other one at all, and I only had to cut the small pieces from this one and a tiny round where the gearbox is. I should remove little more but thats for tomorrow. I also raised the back just a little so this will be the final stance. To be continued
  3. Very cool Brett
  4. Thanks Bill, the credits should go to plastikjunkie. I loaned the concept from his build and created my own, little different but looks a lot.
  5. Nice start, looking forward tot the rest
  6. Very nice!
  7. Thats one tiny killer build, like it.
  8. James, I had the same problem as you do. This weekend i created my own chassis for 32 ford. Its the first I did so don't be to hard on me :-) And it might change a little. The plate under the body is temporary to keep the body in place. Very nice tutorial Bill, wish i have seen this sooner
  9. Thats the plan i had I bought a "new" Camaro funnycar kit on model exhibition two weeks ago and when I opened the box I found they already started it and that the parts where twisted (turned) from the sprue and the windows had scratches and loads off glue on multiple parts so I send it back and in place i get a really new 32 Ford (see pic). I think that one has the deepened firewall.
  10. Wow there is a lot off talent on this forum, I see some very nice things.
  11. Thanks Robert, It has for sure! The only thing that does not fit the car when channeled is the firewall, the one from the earlier boxes is better if you ask me.
  12. Thanks Gene, that's a good tip! I will take a look soon i can find time to proceed.
  13. Thanks! The step is hidden because i don't really like it, your Rod looks awesome, I really like the old style whitewall tires and the color is also very nice! I like the stance, its low but not too much The only thing I don't like from some old boxes are the molded belts in the seats, for some reason it does not fit those cars.
  14. Seriously? Do you have a model shop or something? Where do you leave 1000 boxes? I got about 10 new in box, that's more than enough I build 2 models a year, although I should say in 5-6 months. The summer season is for other hobbies.
  15. Very nice, do you have a pic from the side of the engine?
  16. Wonderful!!
  17. Like it, love the color blue
  18. You keep amazing me, what you can make off some things. Wonderful, you know the pomp's make me think of the old fuel pomp's where you had to mix the oil and fuel for the moped 20 years ago
  19. One small point of criticism, i think that we wheel in front of the barn looks to new and clean, it pops out of the scene. But please keep in mind that this is my opinion For the rest its awesome, I really like it a lot! What did you used for the walls?
  20. Beautiful, very nice job.
