  1. Ok I see WHAT you did for the wheel wells but.... how in the ....? Did you just let the candle heat up the jar and set it on the plastic or?? I'd be really interested to how that all works. I also really seeing the builds that go from race car back to street car. It seems to be the opposite of the norm. I'll be watching for sure.
  2. Love that shade of blue. Perfect fit for that truck IMO. Really nice engine work also.
  3. That massive pile of parts... A rat rod style truck with a massive motor.... Yep, I'm hooked! Really top notch brass work so far!
  4. Love this one. Very nicely done on the weathering. Sometimes these old trucks look just as good rusted out and used as they do cleaned up and shiny!
  5. Seriously impressive work on this. I especially like your take on the wire and insulation u-joints. Creative and well executed. I'll have to give that a try sometime.
  6. Very cool. That is one sweet beast of a motor! I'll have to pick me up one of the wagons. what a cool ride!
  7. The quality of your work is just plain awesome. This whole build has been a real treat to watch. As far as texture, there used to be a product called cast-a-coat for armor modelers. Never tried it myself and have no idea how well the scale effect would translate but I've heard a lot of people say they really liked it. Just a suggestion though of course. Not my favorite car in the world but I would totally buy one of these if you released it. Top notch.
  8. Nice and clean for sure. Great paint, great interior, great everything! Love these trucks!
  9. Those are all crazy good. With all the detail crammed into the pro mods, it's really difficult to tell what scale they are! Love the black dually also. Are those the kit wheels on it? and which kit was it? Really nice stuff man. Thanks for posting them!
  10. That truck is the cat's behind man! I never imagined that body style would so good lifted like that. Well done.
  11. Steve, those inners actually look really good in there. If I can't make the blazer inners work, I may go that route.
  12. Based on your previous works... this should be fan-freakin-tastic! Can't wait to see this progress!
  13. Sure have. So far my only idea is to use the inners from the model king blazer. Not sure if they are correct but the are DEFINITELY closer than what's in there lol. I'll have to do some more looking and comparing but they should work out ok.
  14. ooh nice! I guess I'll be on the prowl for one of them then...
  15. Very cool! Really looks like something that could've, would've, should've been produced!
  16. Nice selection there! Really looking forward to the Burb and the late 70's stepper. Henway is pretty sweet too. I wish I could find a mid 80's non stepside short bed.... I have a real hankering to build a couple. Looking forward to what you do with these!
  17. Always wanted to try something like this. Both are looking really good! I may have missed it, but where did the wheels on the lowered one and the swampers on the lifted one come from? Can't wait to see them both finished!
  18. That is one sweet wrecker! Really nice work on the conversion and I especially like the weathering on the lift. Nicely done!
  19. Thanks for all the feedback so far gang. It's greatly appreciated! Love the color and that 67 Jason and nice start on the stepside Nate! Not much of an update. I am a VERY slow builder, and that's just when I actually have a chance to work on stuff. So I thought I'd show the frame so far. I did end up going with frame from the 65 Revell kit and it seems to be working out well so far. I did do some adjusting/tweaking and still have some work to do on it but here it is so far. Using my phone for a few quick pics. If it's too hard to see anything let me know and I'll get my camera set up out and snap a few. And here I have one of the bed sides shortened. About half an inch in front of the wheel opening and about a quarter inch behind it was all it needed. Luckily, the wheel opening itself seems to be pretty accurate on shape and size. I threw in the stock kit part for comparison. Still have the bed floor and the other bed side to cut up and I may try and figure out something to do with inside of the bed sides also. Well, that's it for now. Comments, suggestions, ideas, thoughts, puns, giggles and snarls all welcome Thanks for looking!
  20. I'm starting to get the itch for one of these.... really really bad itch, but I need to at least get my first 72 done... However I do see one of these in my future and my wallet is already mad at me!! I'll be watching this for sure. Love the amount of detail that can be crammed into these....
  21. Wow.... love the way the skyline rear panel fits with the overall look! Nice work!
  22. Forgive me if I missed it, but I didn't see the red AMT?Ertl issue of the fleetside in the list. I bid on one a little while back on ebay but didn't win. Missed it by a dollar. Photo was from the auction. Again, I hope I didn't just miss it, but I had never seen this one and thought it should be mentioned.
  23. That sounds very familiar. I think that's it but I really want to say I have seen a couple/few more of his . But yes, that Staghound is the main one I was thinking of.
  24. This is gonna be so awesome to watch. Just like the Ferrari and the Volvo. I hope you keep it as a hard top though. Not much of a convertible fan. Just my two cents of course. Your talent and eye for creating these cars amazes me.
