  1. What about "Police Interceptors" Build realistic or fictional pursuit vehicles that could hypothetically attempt to stop the race. Allowed: • Classic patrol cars • Modern police units • Fantasy/designer interceptors • SWAT or tactical vans • Highway patrol cruisers • 1970s–style police cruisers
  2. Cannonball Entry #30: ’66 Fairlane GT/GTA Modifications made: Added a blower/supercharger to the engine Installed a custom rear wing Painted the seats in red and black Removed all chrome trim and painted it flat black
  3. Last minute, but the Fairlane build is done! I didn't get to do everything I wanted, but I'm happy to have finished it.
  4. Body paint and interior is done bumpers in flat black
  5. The interior is now complete! I initially considered flat black but decided to experiment with red tones first. While I'm not completely certain about keeping the red, I'm kinda liking how it turned out. Do you think it's too much red? In other progress, I de-chrome the bumpers and painted them in flat black
  6. "I've finally made progress on the project: ✓ Painted the body ✓ Created and painted a 3D-printed rear wing in flat black ✓ Assembled several chassis components ✓ Installed the motor Next steps: Working on the interior Adding detail to the body
  7. Update on my Cannonball WIP: The hood scoop is ready to paint. I checked the engine height, and it fits well. The engine is almost ready. I just need to add the fan, starter, and exhaust manifold. I made the blower and its pulleys from scratch I also opened the trunk. And I did a paint test.
  8. The blower and the engine are finished. I just need to add the fan and check how everything fits in the engine bay, but so far, everything looks good. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but I wanted to open the trunk, so I did it. I hope I don't regret this, haha. I also did a paint test. This will be the body color.
  9. Here's a little update on the engine. It is already painted and assembled, but I have a few things left to finish. I need to make the pulleys for the blower and the engine, the belt, and the tensioner.
  10. Man, this engine build is amazing! And the backstory is so cool. I have a Golf on my bench too, and I was planning to add a VR6 engine, but after seeing your turbo, maybe I'll go with that instead.
  11. I did some scratch building on the blower and tested the engine fit
  12. A duck bill sounds like a great idea, I’ll give it a try and see how it looks. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for your Fairlane too!
  13. You're right! I didn't even think about that I'll do some research to find a more period-correct wing for the 1975 vibe. Thanks for pointing that out
  14. Some time ago, I painted the body, but then I left the hobby for a few years. Now with this build, I am going back to the amazing world of modeling. Well, first, I'm focusing on the hood and doing some scrap work while I gather all the stuff I need, like putty, paint, and everything else to build this kit. Removed the FORD letters y the inner line I made the hood scoop with styrene At that point, I was unhappy with the height, so I lowered it a little and did some more sanding. It is not ready yet, but I like how it's going. I removed the side badges from the Fairlane. And made the rear wing Next, I am going to build the engine, add a supercharger, and test how everything fits under the hood.
  15. Hi guys, I'm going to build an AMT Fairlane GT/GTA. This is my entry for this year's Cannonball Run. The plan is to make it like the one in Fast X. For the engine, I'm thinking of adding a Weiand blower.
