  6. If it was'nt on a table it would be hard to beleave it's a model. That thing looks very nice. Great build man.
  7. Very funny a good laugh to start my day off right.
  8. Well if they shine too much you can clear coat them for the dull aluminum look.
  9. Nice kit Dave Will the rim's be chrome? That will be a big plus for an already nice kit?
  10. I'm sorry to here this has happened the snap kit's are a good start, but he need's to use tooothpicks for the glue q tip's will just mess thing's up on a good build. And he needs to be as relaxed as he can tring to do anything to get back on track See if he want's to try some of the bigger kit's 1/16 or 1/12 they have the same part's as the small kit's but are easier to work with. You and your family are in our prayer's Please keep us posted on his progress. And show some of his work also regardless of how it come's out it can be positive to someone else. And may help him improve on his recovery.
  11. If your looking to build a perfect model it will never happen. If you loose your temper real easy you need to work on that all the way around in your life. It realy is bad for your health, and can get you in trouble. As for progress I scratch build a lot and at the end of the day there dos'nt seem to be a lot done sometime's. But then again your one step closer to the finished build. I kept a record of a build one time it involved a lot of scratch building. Talk about a progress problem. As for the anger issue step away calm down and get back to it. 230 piece's to make the part's for the car. 260 Hrs to build the car and that's not counting the time for research and keeping record's. This is a hobby to help you relax not beat yourself up. Take a kit paint it,build it,regardless of somthing not being right and don't worry about it. And most important build for yourself not anyone else.
  12. There's one thing about the time it takes. If you try to keep up with it,it may discourage you. If you try to guess how long it will take to build that special truck you may change your mind also. I did this with a car that I built. It was a AMT 69 Chevelle,I did'nt like the stance for what I was wanting and the body did'nt fit the frame right either. So I decided to scratch build the thing's I needed including the frame. I kept a record of building the part's and piece's for the part's and time. Time for research and writing every thing up was not included. Piece's to build the part's were 230 Just build time was 260 Hrs. That was and will be the only time I ever do that,it answered my question on time involved in building a detailed kit.
  13. Testor's in the bottle has amber paint. If you ca'nt get any you can try several shade's of orange and yellow sharpie marker's on a piece of clear scrap=part's tree. untill you get the color you want.
  14. As for your truck it's looking good. As for the man that know's Peterbilt's Tim is full of good tip's. You realy need to check out his site when you can.
  15. Look's like Red will cover without bleeding through.

  17. Very nice looking and clean. What color and brand of paint is that? Can or air brush?
  18. That did come out very nice.
  19. Nice truck. As for the X I've been there. I just had the chance to get my model's away from the house before I gave her the new's that I would be moving. I did forget a set of high performance plug wire's under the couch, went back to get them and her girl friend was on the couch. I ask her to move off the couch so that I could get them. The X told her not to move, The friend agreed with the X. I said no problem and dumped her in the floor when I flipped the couch over and got the plug wire's. Me and her friend bacame friends after that,go figure.
