  1. That's why I'm doing it! I haven't graduated from rattle cans yet... experimenting with rusty crusty stuff t get better at details. Thanks for the encouragement! I hope to finish it soon - been taking forever as I have limited time to play.
  2. Very nice job so far!!
  3. NICE!! Love the 2-tone!
  4. Thanks! I think we probably all share the curse of seeing random objects and envisioning them in our scale model worlds...
  5. Recent discovery - Used tea bags make great seat fabric, headliner and carpet for a ragged out rust bucket! The fibers are very similar in scale to cloth. And the spent tea granules make great diorama dirt! My wife's an herbal tea NUT (emphasis added) so I always have plenty of ratty fabric for those crusty projects...
  6. Livin' the dream! Congrats!
  7. Excellent tip! I think I have one of those templates!
  8. I'll put on my political hat for a moment. Most of the proceeds from the cookies go to the "corporation." They're fiercely pro choice... I'm fiercely not. If you want to support your local girl scout troop, just make a donation directly to the troop. OK, back to modeling.
  9. Hey Paul - can you upload a larger pic? This one is too small to see.
  10. My rattle can days are over! Thanks for taking the time to put this together and share your secrets, Roy!
  11. Thanks Rob! The tea bags have turned out to be great interior material for a ratty old beater. Since they're stained and the fibers are similar to fabric at scale. Worked well for the seats and carpet on this project.
  12. Very nice!
  13. Looks awesome! Don't worry about that exhaust over the gas tanks.... surely it won't get hot enough to go BOOM.
  14. Looks good so far!
  15. It seems like this build is taking forever. I have the interior all done finally. Loved using used tea bags for seat fabric AND carpet. Nice worn out look.
  16. To answer the original question.... no.
  17. One of the ugliest cars of all time - and one of the finest finished projects! Nice work!!
  18. I've always been intimidated by trying to paint anything "shiny" but these tips might give me some courage!
  19. Top notch photography too! I could go on all day...
  20. I nearly accused you of posting pictures of a REAL CAR!! That is fantastic work Yuri! Clever engine stand too!
