Agreed. A pricey curbside kit. But, again, it comes down to a modern, US truck kit. Seems the 3 "modern" truck kits we have to choose from are pricey, even this curbside. The day cab Pete that they just released, I wouldn't count that as modern. It is designed after a 95 or older truck, pre- Unibilt cabs. But, the resin aftermarket helps make it modern. So now the 70 dollar kit just went to 140, give or take some. Guess if we want modern, we gotta pay the price.

Just a few weeks away. Bump this up to remind everybody. -
Thanks Dennis. Seems this summer has slowed a few builders. But, now it's cooling off, it's a little more bearable to be outside. That and the paint doesn't dry before it hits what I'm painting. Thanks Gordon. I'm really lookin forward to seeing this done, whenever that'll be. Thanks Gator. That's exactly what I've been doing in my free time, spending time my son. I think now I can start gettin a little modeling in while he's nappin. I doubt I'll get this done for the show. I've got other builds that need to prepped to go. Maybe after the first of the year this can make its show debut.

I'll be going to this show at the end of September. Here are some videos of trucks drag racing. Some are everyday road trucks. This is really cool show. If anyone will be in So Cal, in the Irwindale area or somewhere close, I recommend attending. It's Sunday Sep 27. Show and shine and drags. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9qQhuRM9v4 https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nR5vQWNVzJU -
NOW HEAR THIS! I had to hire an archeological team to dig this thread up for me. I actually put some putty on this this morning. I have about 2 weeks till the contest . I'm not gonna push this to get done by then, but if it happens it happens. I hope gettin a little putty on the fingers was enough to ignite the motivation

I notice a difference in the amount of produce trucks runnin around here. There's not as many as there used to be. I heard, Mike Lowery Trucking has a huge barn at their main yard in Dixon, Ca, that supposedly has 100 brand new, zero to extremely low mile trucks that were ordered and never put to use. The same goes for Panella, SVT, VPT and a few others. The amount of farming in the central and imperial valleys has dropped significantly. The Imperial Valley is very dependant on Colorado River irrigation. I hope this winters El Nino helps the situation.

You can still walk across the d. But the whole terrorism thing is what stopped truck traffic across the bridge and now with the bridge, all vehicle traffic is stopped. I think when our baby us a few years old, we will take a trip to the dam. Hopefully in a few years, the dry, very dry condition if the desert won't be so severe.
