  1. Cool build. Great paint work.
  2. Nice build, clean, classy. I like it. Well done.
  3. Great lookin build. I really like the interior. As far as pics go. On my phone they are squeezed amd long, but I can click on them and they're fine. Harrys repost of the pics looks normal.
  4. I haven't had any of those ads come up on my Android phone. But what I am getting that is kinda puzzling, is local ads. I get a banner for a local dealer all the time. Does this site use my current location or are the adds generated based on my location stated in my profile.
  5. Cool build. Glad it survived a trip through life. 30 some years, sorry for that reminder.
  6. Lookin good man. You got some really nice details going. Lookin forward to.the next update.
  7. You forestry boys sure get to travel. Im sure youve been pretty busy here the last few weeks. Thank you for your service.
  8. This should be good. I'll be following along with this one. Nice start.
  9. Awesome. I wish I had the patience to do all the bolt detail. The motor looks so good, I wouldn't be surprised if you posted a video of it on a dyno somewhere. Excellent work Tim.
  10. Lookin good man. Nice job on the cables. This is gonna look good when you get it done.
  11. I've been in a slump for about a month. I sit down, try to do things and just don't feel like doing anything. My Impala build was sort of a victim of this. I knew what color I wanted the interior, got side tracked, forgot and painted it a color. It came out fine, someone would think it looks great. But it's not what I wanted. Not a big deal, but still. I wasn't in the mood, I should've left it alone.
  12. Just wanted to extend a congratulations to David Rose and JT Williams to both of you on your HAMS finishes.
  13. I know my lyrics are not really for most on here. The answer to mine is Slipknot, the Devil and I.
  14. This is what the last couple of mornings looked like for me in the middle of nowhere, Nevada and Arizona. The first pic is Az, then Nv
  15. This is what I saw the last couple of mornings. The first pic is in Arizona and the other is Nevada.
  16. Lookin really good Tyrone. I saw this video and thought this would be something to possibly come off your bench someday. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1wnyqGP3BZA
  17. The Snap Pete can pass for early to mid 80s. But yeah, Gator is right about the Moebius trucks and some resin being as modern truck your gonna get.
  18. I bought this too but it was more difficult than most of you as I am an American but live in China! And there are almost no Hobby Shops here so I do everything on the Internet! Can't even buy hobby paint. It cost me about around $185 and $72 of that was just for shipping! Now I am in the process of renting another small apartment just for a hobby area as there is no room in our 60 sq meter apartment (about 650sq feet) with me, wife and 27 year old daughter! Now to answer some of your questions... there is a scale figures/accessories shop called Microform Models, Inc (Google the name) located in Marlborough, Massachusetts (not the one in Manchester NH, don't know anything about that one even though I tried to find out what it did) that makes scale things like cars, trucks, fencing, street lamps, and they are VERY reasonable, for instance a standing man is $0.27, seated, $0.29. An tractor trailer is $1.94. This is 1/16" or 1/192 metric (1 foot = 1/16th of an inch or one meter =192 meters) which is only 4% off of 1/200. About displaying it, I think it would look great in a diorama! Now these are metal casts, so detail is somewhat lacking, but a tractor trailer in this scale is only 3.5 inches long (if it is 60 foot total length in real life). So if the male figure is supposed to be 6 foot (72 inches) he will really be 74.88 inches, hardly noticeable. You must order $20 minimum. I am toying with the idea of replacing the railings with photo-etch 1/200 scale naval railings. They also say they will custom design an item, maybe in the same scale a giant dump truck??? I also have the North Sea oil rig which is 1:200 so I can use figures on that too (no tractor trialer though!) and that has far more railings than this does and the 1/200 IJN Yamato (which I also have) could use some figures.! Thanks for the info. I want to get the oil rig too. I have the Launch Tower and shuttle. I heard that there is a PE set for it. It cost more than the kit itself. But, it replaces A LOT of stuff on the tower.
  19. Looks like your goin for a rough and tough Mack. Nice start.
  20. You could also modify the ROG/Italeri 48er into a grain hopper trailer. I have an old build from 15 years ago that I plan to do.
  21. Thanks for sharing. Some very nice builds and interesting in process. That American La France milatary lookin truck was very interesting.
  22. I paid 100 bucks for the Launch Tower and shuttle. I think my bucket wheel excavator was around 120.
  23. The Revell and Italeri 3 axle dump trailers are modern. I think they are the same kit, just different boxes. But a little modification is needed to make it more U.S. The little changes could make those kits look like this.
