I'm heading to Hobby Depot tomorrow. I have a couple of kits on hold, 2 just released Italeri Petes. If it's there, more BMF and some styrene. I need to stock up the styrene.

I was out and about, on my day off. Drove past a some what famous movie scene. It used to be called Chucks Cafe.

Now, from what I could see from the low res video, the driver is going WAY too fast #1. The driver was obviously not paying attention #2. Not knowing the driver, but it's pretty safe to say he's a total jackass, who should not be driving a go-cart, nevermind a truck and 53'er. Fortunately, this time, the biker is ok. The bike can be replaced. The driver needs to be locked up, and not be allowed to drive ever again. Maybe in time a car. Stuff like this happens WAY to much. Sometimes with the worse outcomes, sometimes like this instance. Im not saying im perfect, cause im not. But, i would never allow something like this or like what that Walmart driver did happen. With the findings of the Tracy Morgan accident out. The driver in gross excess, 20 over posted construction limit, then admitted to being up 28 hours with no sleep because he couldn't sleep! I see a serious shake up coming in the trucking industry. Just as we were makin head way towards more practical regulations. Then morons like this and the driver in the Tracy Morgan deal, really take us down. It's really too bad the only way the government can look at things is all or nothing. The faults of a few, ruin it for those who do things right. The old saying, when they raid the cat house, they take the piano player too.

I hear ya man. I've driven the 14 freeway for years and never had time to, or the proper vehicle to just sight see. All those roads, pretty much, are posted no trucks now. I did narrow down the search for crash site while out. One spot that really looked promising was private property. All the others need something more than my Kia to travel on.

I took today off to go take care of a few things near Magic Mountain. For me to get there, I went down the 14 freeway. So, to get home I had to go back up the 14 till I had a thought. I have some time, I've been wanting to do this for awhile. I took Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon rds. Here the pics I took while on those roads.

Welcome to the forum. Looks great. I agree with Kenny. These kits sit way too high. Maybe someday I'll give large scale a shot. This is definitely inspiring.

I use thinned enamel. I've had good results with that.

My wife about killed me when I paid 200 bucks for a Bill Signs Peterbilt. I cant imagine what she would do if paid the price for a Pocher. I'm pretty sure it's safe to say I'd be single after that purchase.

My first car, 72 Camaro Strip/Street car, is in primer still, has been since I bought it in 98. Small block 406, 411s, roll bar, very fun car. My grandpa's 66 Suburban, factory 4 wheel drive. He bought new in 67 as a 66 left over. I hope it never leaves family after I'm long gone.
