He's doing much better now. In between getting the bbq goin, marinating steaks, and all that, I'll get some bench time. Here's a shot of the body outside. I sprayed it Tamiya British Green, then sprayed Tamiya Pearl Clear. I took some creative freedom with the color. I think it helps make it pop it the light.

Not yet. Our new baby is having a rough morning. At least I got a lot done yesterday. The body is painted and cleared, ready to go. The interior is complete, ready to go. The engine is painted, ready for the stuff that's not orange. I'll be at the bench at some point today.

It would be a cool setup if he could find a flatbed around same year. Use it for parades. Looks like a nice truck man.

LOL. Those are all true. Especially the Nemp one. My wife asks quite often when I'm coming to bed. I tell her as soon as I get this part done.

Final update for day 1. Body is decaled and cleared. The engine has a nice coat of Chevy orange. The way it's lookin, all I have left to paint is the exhaust then assemble. I may be done tomorrow. I know what you mean. My paint jobs usually don't look this good after I polish them. Nice work everyone. This is a fun little project.

I've stayed at that hotel in the past. It was nice. There used to be a place we loaded at down the road aways on the Salt River where we loaded rock. But it was sold and closed.

I've got a couple more hours out here in So Cal. I want to get some clear on this and the engine painted before I call it a night.

Cool deal. Expect me to represent the heavy commercial, again. I have at least 4 to bring this year, maybe 1 more if I get motivated on it again.

Kinda of big jump. I'm painting everything I can with rattle can. The body, interior and most of chassis is painted. The under carriage and under hood is flat black. The interior is semi gloss and the chassis parts are gloss black. The under side I tried to do some factory overspray. I think it turned out ok. I'm gonna lay down the decals then clear the body next.

I wondered who would be first to notice. It has been addressed and corrected.

It's only been 4 months. I pulled this back out onto the bench. I got the the suspension squared away for the most part. Mocked up the rims and tires, then set the body on. It's sittin just how I want. Next up, I'm gonna tackle the interior.
