  1. Glad to hear you had a good day. Happy Birthday bud.
  2. Thanks guys. I appreciate the compliments. Kevin, I don't know what the differences are. I've built of these. One as a kid and this one. Both were AMT. Lee, it came with black and white stripes. I only used the white set.
  3. It's gonna happen. The main post is pinned with all the info and entrant list.
  4. I finished this last night. It's the Jack Reacher boxing of this. I spray a flat black base, applied the decals then cleared with Duplicolor clear. It's a really simple, box stock build. The paints not perfect, the trim can be touched up. But I'm happy with it. It's going to be part of 6 cars on the Revell Auto Transporter I'm almost done with.
  5. Not kits, but parts. Got a box of stuff Rhino's Truck Parts. Stacks and visors. He has great stuff, if anyone was wondering.
  6. Nice work so far Ken. Nice touch with bigger holes on the rims. I'm a fan of that. Great detailing so far.
  7. I got suspension done. It's sittin exactly how I imagined. Next I'm gonna get the interior figured out. It's only taken me 4 months to get motivated.
  8. I actually pulled mine out. I'm gonna do little more to it this week.
  9. That's gonna pretty decent lookin truck.
  10. I'm building a few protouring cars. I want to see if I've got the right idea and direction. Thanks.
  11. Here's the under glass link. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101417&page=1
  12. The barrel would usually be strapped to a wall. The jerry cans and tool box would be in a cradle and bungeed down for quick access. The chains would be in box or in a chain and binder holder. Here's a shot of how my stuff is in the back. And outside. I haven't made chain holders yet.
  13. I'm gonna go ahead with the 69 Yenko Nova.
  14. Very cool. This is gonna be a good lookin setup when your done.
  15. Just about any of them will work. I built a Diamond Reo for my first dump trailer. Now mind you I did a lot changes to that DR. V8 Detroit, rims and tires from the Freightliner COE, Revell Pete stacks and bumper. The hydraulic tanks is from an AMT Pete that I modified. Moebius mudflaps. As you can see I cut an axle off the trailer, not pictured is the tarp system I made for it. Anthony Oteri has done a few great lookin set ups using this trailer.
  16. I have the Paache H set. It comes with 3 different sized tips. I got it for around 65 bucks on the bay. I'm still learning with it. My first attempt at Alclad was a failure. It's definitely trial and error.
  17. Man, your doin some mighty fine work here. This thing would be a wild ride. Keep up the great work.
  18. My LHS just got it in. They have it for 33.99. I had already ordered two online. I may go buy it just to stash.
  19. Thanks checking guys. I really like the movie. My next thing is to try and find a Torino promo to do up like the movie car.
  20. That sucks. All I can say is, let the spray chrome sit for about a week or two. Then you.can kinda handle it. Clearing it isn't advised since it dulls the finish. Or if you have an airbrush, give Alclad a shot.
  21. Figured I'd go ahead start a thread for my build of the new Moebius kit. I'm going to be replicating the truck from Gran Torino.
  22. Looks killer. Nice work on the hood.
