  1. Hi all my boss bought this for me to do But he wants it done like the one in the workshop.
  2. Well this arrived for the samba bus conversion, fair bit of bodywork modification needed (doing it as the cafe mexicano version) made a start on the modifications. The kit itself looks really good all the molding is very crisp and sharp and detail looks well defined.
  3. Hi all more work on the 934, first pic is my rendition of the tarpaulin over the engine (its just a bit of printer paper) second pic will be a couple of slabs of concrete when finished.
  4. Beautiful result, great job.
  5. Added some of the pipework, the heater ducting and started scratchbuilding the new brake servo we've added.
  6. Well its done, it's quite a nice kit (albeit a bit basic) I've enjoyed it, I could have added more detail but most of it would have been underneath so not seen, tbh I couldn't be asked. Well its done, it's quite a nice kit (albeit a bit basic)
  7. Nearing completion now (tomorrow I think)
  8. The 300 SL nears completion. Just the exhaust and the fuel tank to add to the underneath then time to add body doors and details.
  9. OK so made a start on the pallet for the 934 engine, bit more work to make it more realistic but quite pleased with it so far.
  10. Looks great, never even knew this kit existed 1/16 will be a nice size.
  11. More done on this
  12. I'm revisiting this build. I'm calling it the restoration of a Porsche 934. The Eagle eyed among you will notice (apart from a few bits that have fallen off and some spray splatter on the background from its storage in the garage it doesn't need much restoration, well I have a cunning plan, I'm going to age it quite drastically, maybe have it languishing in a yard resting on bricks with the engine on a pallet covered by a tarpaulin, maybe even with a tree or Bush growing out of the car. Then I am going to do a full restoration of it, that's the plan anyway.
  13. So I ran into a small problem with the 300SL the track rod end and the top of the king pin were broken off I tried gluing them back on but they just kept braking off so I drilled out where they should have been and added some bent rod to fix it. It doesn't look very pretty but is not really visible on the model so I'm not too worried about it.
  14. Well the chrome work round the windows is done and its glazed.
  15. No matter what angle you look at the front of the SL 300 she is sexy and beautiful. As a classic its got to be up there with the EType
  16. Hi all here is the next update just put together what I have so far
  17. I was going to do this deep impact blue (I had a can of it and thought I would use it on this) not quite enough, but it worked as a good primer for this colour. Added some ht leads.
  18. Hi all well for a kit of this age I can't believe how well the body goes together (considering all the complex curves) look how little filler ive used. https://i.ibb.co/XJJqthF/IMG-6080.jpg[/img Hi skip have you got any engine detail pics (I may be asking for loads more if that ok)
  19. Hi all next victim is the italari 1/16 Mercedes 300 SL, first thing I don't like is the distributor and plug leads are molded as part of the rocker cover (I don't even know why they would do that at this scale)
  20. Superb job so far.
  21. Here is one of the cars it usually carries (it also carries a 904 a 910 and another rsr cafe mexicano)
