You did a really nice job on your Lotus! I really enjoyed viewing the photos of it against your superb European background. The combination looks very realistic!

I love this idea! Simple, inexpensive, and I think they look really good.
Thankyou Greg!

It’s really great to see these classics given a new lease on life. While I have nothing against customs, I really appreciate the fact that you chose to keep them stock. My favourite has to be the Oldsmobile. The rear windows on those old ‘flat tops’ were amazing.

Great job Martin! I’ve been back a couple of times to view your pictures , which are superbly lit and posed. A cool and inspiring model. Thanks for sharing it.

That’s a beautiful color! It’s a great looking model overall. I prefer the Revell kit to the AMT offering. I think the overall ‘look’ is more accurate.

I’m glad you managed to wrestle this one to the ground! I sometimes think I’m the only one who has problems building a model. The wheels look cool and I really like the colour too.

Welcome Martin! I noticed a couple of your builds in the Under Glass section., and after seeing more here I have to tell you your builds are exemplary and your backgrounds and lighting are very artistically chosen. I’m looking forward to learning more about your work.

A very nice build overall! I like how you down graded it to the custom trim level. All of the extras are very impressive, such as the trunk latch mechanism. I’ve never seen that before. Your work on the chassis is truly inspiring!

This one really made me smile. I love the mid-century design influence on the interior!

This is one sweet looking roadster pickup Cliff! You've really nailed it's stance and proportions in my opinion. I know you had to plan these important things out, especially since the chassis is all scratch built. On top of that everything is super clean. (something I often struggle with -but won't give up on!) The front axle and suspension are beautiful to look at and the colour choices are really eye catching too. The big '55 Chevy steering wheel and the wide whites really add to the period look!
Thanks for posting it-

Persistence has certainly paid off for you on this one. You’ve done an excellent job on it. All the various finishes are working very well. I have this one in my stash as well and I hope it turns out as nice as yours. Especially that gorgeous orange paint job!

What a killer hot rod! Beautifully designed and expertly built.
I’m curious about the Minwax clear, -do you experience much in the way of orange peel with it?- 1

Super sharp Chevelle! This car is ‘all business’. I’m still trying to wrap my head around a nineteen year old going into a Chevrolet dealership and buying that car. Impressive!

Another beautiful model from you Mr. Lin! I can’t see any evidence that it was even touched by human hands. You are definitely making me think about borrowing your idea on painting the widow trim. I will first have to get over my fear of putting masking tape over the body!

I’ve enjoyed seeing your Mustang Tim! You were certainly doing some amazing paint and detail work even 40 years ago!

Wow! What a gorgeous Pontiac. It’s a heartbreaker. I love the colour choice. It grabbed me right away. There sure is a lot of great paint and foil detailing on this one. Okey is offering 3D printed interiors?

It’s funny how a movie can turn an innocent ‘58 Plymouth into a monster! Your excellent diorama and photo skills really add to the sinister feel. Great job!

A terrific build of a rare subject. Your fine attention to detail really brings all your oldies to life! Thanks for sharing.

Another beautiful model! I’d be very pleased to have this one on my shelf. Your mild dissatisfaction with it is yours alone, but I guess that’s what keeps us striving for more on each model. Superbly finished and foiled, and you always nail the colour choices.
I was surprised to see the separate clear headlight lenses Revell included in this kit-pretty advanced for the time. -
I’ve been really enjoying looking at your models over the past few months. I find myself going back for a second look. They’re that good and the subjects really appeal to me. You’ve built this rare old kit to the high standard it deserves. The paint on this Plymouth is beautiful and you could teach a master class on bare metal foil application!

Thanks everyone for your very helpful responses. I knew I’d come to the right place!
I’m planning a surf wagon build of the AMT Nova wagon and I’d like to throw a surfboard or two up on it’s roof.

Very nicely done! Cleanly built, and your background is fantastic. I love your attention to detail and factory colors.
