Nicely done Roadrunner! I especially like your under hood detailing. I’m curious about the rear trim panel on the trunk lid between the taillights. Is that detail included in the kit? I’ve seen some photos that have it and some that don’t.

Larry’s models are always a ‘tour de force’ in scratch building, but the hoist mechanism for the coal bin adds another dimension. It’s fun to look at the in-progress photos to get an idea of the work that went into it. The hand fabricated leaf springs, the frame, front suspension with steering linkage to name a few. The street scene was a nice addition to the model as it describes how these trucks were used. It’s an amazing snapshot of an every day urban occurrence. Thanks for posting Cliff.

They are different scales, the Monogram kit is 1/24. The Revell Model A kits are 1/25. I’m not sure if that’s an issue or not.

I’m with Gene on this one! A gorgeous rendition of a very rare model. I can’t remember ever seeing one of these built before. Your execution is very clean and I really like the colour choices.

Really nicely done! Very realistic colours and finishes. It’s also nice to see it built stock as well. -
Beautiful just Gene. Your paint looks amazing and it looks like you really did your homework when it came to detailing the engine bay!

Stock '37 Chevy sedan delivery
Smitty replied to traditional's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
You've done an outstanding job on this Chevy Cliff! A ton of work must have gone into creating an amazing replica that you just aren't going to see anywhere else. You did a really nice job adapting the '37 rear fenders to the body and adding the continued line from the front fenders on the doors. I love the poseable steering and the hinged hood (with 'prop rod' included!) - and these sedan deliveries certainly had a unique rear bumper. Great colours and immaculate finishes all around-as usual. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person. -
Superb work on your ‘vette! There really is a lot to see here. Top to bottom, I find your builds to be very inspiring. Great job and thanks for posting it!

Really nice job on your Impala. Beautiful and expertly applied color choice. I also admire the accurate looking engine compartment. Is that air cleaner and 327 decal included in the kit?

An outstanding build all around. LOVE the color!

I love seeing unusual subjects on this forum and your BelAir certainly fits the bill! As I scrolled down through the photos, I fully expected to see a six cylinder under the hood, and there it was! Your paint finish is enviable. Great job overall!

I always enjoy seeing these old Johan kits getting built. Your work on these is really nice!

Your ‘34 is gorgeous Lee. It has been built with great precision and you have an eye for the important things such as stance. Your paint finish is especially nice. Is there a clear coat on it?

1949 White WC22 Super Power
Smitty replied to RoninUtah's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very, very nice job on your White Ron. You’ve really done this truck justice! I’ve been hoping for a model of this one for a very long time. -
I’m stunned! At first, the price shocked me a little, but when I saw how comprehensive the kit was, I understood it. I wonder if there will be more available.

I really like what you’ve done with your Merc. Amazing paint work and I really like that you went with the flathead. Beautifully done overall. The AMT ‘49 Mercury is my favourite as well.

You’ve done a super job on your Buick Gene. I especially like the interior. Very nice.

Wow, you have to be a real enthusiast to go to the lengths you did here. It’s a true labour of love. You performed a ton of work on this build and I too was drawn to the great looking engine bay. Very nice, and different.

A gorgeous, immaculate build! I much prefer the chopped windshield as you have it here.
-
Very nicely done! I’ve heard lots of good things about this kit. Yours looks great. Your work on the engine compartment is terrific.

Great work on your Impala. It looks very realistic indeed. I’m a big fan of the Cay Coral and white paint scheme. It’s beautiful and a little unexpected.

What are the must-build classic kits?
Smitty replied to OldNYJim's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Johan Chrysler Turbine Car comes to mind. It represents a bit of a bench mark I’d say. A very ambitious undertaking by Johan for its time because of its high level of detail-and i found it to be a challenging kit to build. -
THAT will be a sight to behold! I hope you’ll post some photos when it’s complete Chris.
