  1. Havent had much luck on shapeways, and 50k items pop up when searching 1/25 drag wheels. I have been looking at some slot car drag wheels and this may be a viable option. The wheels would need worked a little to work correctly. Has anyone had success with these? Pro track has some nice looking wheels at decent prices. However they would need fitted with tires and may need some work on the backside of the wheels to be adapted to a model car. They are also 1/24 scale but I know they often use model bodies on slot cars.
  2. Nice review, I need to pick one of these up.
  3. Clean build, really like the livery on this one.
  4. I would as well. Loving this build, Hope I can build this well one day.
  5. Guess this is not going to be as easy as I hoped. Thanks for the responses.
  6. Looks good, what blue is that on the body?
  7. Paint turned out nice, Like the green. Engine pics?
  8. Looks good, I have one of these in my collection Ill have to dig out.
  9. Are all these guys making prostreet models just kitbashing the wheels? I see some sweet models being made with modern style wheels simular to what I have posted.
  10. Anything like these are what Im looking for. If anyones making wheels like these I would love to help keep them in business.
  11. Does anyone know a retailer with a good selection? I have looked for weeks and some places have a few items but usually not much. Looking for wheels (modern style) but engines etc would be nice as well. Wheel and tire sets would be a big plus too.
  12. I picked these up the other day for a dollar a piece at my secret hobby lobby outlet store. Good selection of metal colors, airbrush ready.
  13. Hi All, I havent built a model in a year or two and havent done any cars since I was a kid. I have a lot of the small bottles of testors paint. I am having trouble getting flat black to cover. Do I need to primer all parts before painting them? Will this help my covering problems? I would also like to hear what (brand) and how everyone else is using them. A guy I watch on youtube uses Zero brand paint with good results. I have looked into these and can get them here in the Us. However they are a little expensive (dont mind paying for quality). I have a large amount of Vallejo acrylic paints at my disposal I could use as well but never heard of anyone using them on model cars. I also have lots of createx wicked paints for airbrushing. I know there a lot of questions in this post, just want to explain where I am and what products I already have. I want to get the best results possible and If i can do that without buying more paint that would be great. Any information or recomendations are welcome.
  14. Great looking build! Love the drag n funny cars man great kit choice. I see you sanded the tires a little but imo just not enough, the sanded parts of tire seem to highlight the non sanded areas and highlight the mold lines.
  15. I like the white body with black bumpers. Very clean car and not overdone with body graphics sponsors etc. Looks great!
  16. Could be different at your location, but here, Michael's selection of models, paint and anything model related is a joke compared to Hobby Lobby. One thing tho, Michael's carries Badger airbrushes whereas Hobby Lobby carries Iwata. I'm an Iwata person myself but I know Badger is very populer amongst modelers. I remember when I was a child, Michael's had a much much larger selection of anything Model related. But this could be regional I'm not sure, perhaps Hl has the model market cornered here so Michael's doesn't bother.
