Any thoughts?
cowboy rich replied to Petetrucker07's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
For some of the folks on here 90 days is more than enough time but for me with work and as much moving ad I'm doing right now I probably wouldn't even try but, I do think it's a great idea that would be fun both to participate in and watch. Rich -

I think it sounds like a good fun idea, it would be neat to see. I would end up a calendar buyer I'm sure 90 days and this competition I'm no match. -

Should be a great canvas for you with all your detail talent I've never built it but looks like fun. Any idea on colors yet? -

I feel for ya Kenny A LOT of work to turn out in an unwanted way. Wish someone had an idea what happened. My wife has been watching your build as well, thought was gonna have to some CPR when she saw what happened!! Hope you dont have to strip the whole truck to get your desired look. Good luck Rich -
peterbilt 359 in progress
cowboy rich replied to Ken Gilkeson's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Your work is mind blowing, and how quit you get it done with all the details, walking through your place must be like a styrene museum. Where do you get your stripes? Please don't say you still hand paint them I could NEVER pull that off. Looks great. Rich -

Great build and paint sure that was painstaking to do, I can't wait to see the finished product.....even if it takes another 3 years. Skills WAY beyond mind. -
Stretched Revel W-900

I really like the build you have going. To bad about the paint. Something I've done before is use a harbor freight air eraser with baking soda, cheap if you have one, and doesn't tear up the surface just time consuming. If it was me though and I was trying not to buy another kit I would take Clayton up on his offer. I have always thought that kit looked good in testors arctic blue with a metallic clear. (But I'm to blue what JT is to orange) Good luck Rich -
Check out Indiana custom truck website and gallery some good reference pics if you decide to do interior. They also have a 230". Rich

I agree with hater do it how you want to do it, also agree with Kenny B. That's huge, I have a 1/16th on the back burner that is scale 144" my first also. All I can say is I like the .030 & .040 because it is more rigid. Remember haste makes wastes, save your self tome and money and plan your moves before using your knife. Good luck, cant wait to see pictures. Rich
