  1. Can I know how you brush painted it without showing brush strokes? Did you have any clear above it? Because it looks really impressive!!!!
  2. Holy cow my second build came nowhere close to being this nice. You have tremendous potential in this hobby
  3. Very well built replica of an old family car
  4. Nice work, great to see some JDM around here
  5. Nice! Reminds me of Jessie's Monte Carlo from Breaking Bad. His ride has hydraulics too
  6. Very, very clean and detailed
  7. Personally I am not a huge fan of enamel based clear coats (or color coats). I like to use lacquer, testor's wet look clear works like a charm and so does ts-13 clear
  8. Nice job, looks real nice
  9. DIdn't really like how the tailights look originally so I decided to change it up a bit.

    Mini

Very nice looking mini you got there
  11. Thanks. I got some cheap tape like this https://www.google.ca/search?q=chrome+tape&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=947&site=webhp&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwifu--UrqjMAhUGKx4KHaXVD9MQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=Nz4AQtjCL3HBzM%3A at a dollar store and cut them into size by first using some masking tape as a template. It takes lot of time, patience and effort however it sticks on pretty well.
  12. Hey there, finished this one off before I head off to University next year. Not happy with the windshield fitting at all, even though this is a simple kit, the parts don't fit really well. Gave up half way but finished it off yesterday. Duplicolor met. green and wet look clear. Added chrome trim (huge headache) and did something with the tailights. Also added seatbelts and a mirror for more realistic. Thanks for checking it out.
  13. Hello again, Have any of you had experience with making your own DIY license plates? Because you know, sometimes you just wanna make your model more personal rather than using the kit provided plates. How would you do em? I am not really fond of the idea of printing it on a decal since i heard its not that easy and i have to get some kind of special paper, and printer. Are there any other methods out there on making your own license plates realistic??? Thank you
  14. Is this one it? http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/pledge-with-future-premium-floor-finish/6000016951678 Because it doesn't look like this http://www.pledge.ca/common/images/products/future-floor.jpg
  15. Quick question, anyone from Ontario Canada knows where can i buy some Future (Pledge) ? And also can I polish the future coat with wet sanding and wax? Thanks
  16. IMO i am a pretty big fan of duplicolor paints, go to your local Canadian tire, dupli-color offers a wide variety of colors you will sure find one that suits you. Just remember to give it a good clear coat and polish because it doesn't shine that great when you lay the paint down
  17. As title, and 1 more: Can you wet sand an enamel clear coat? I know you can wet sand acrylic clear coats but not sure about enamel. Thanks
  18. Nice mods on it
  19. After 3 weeks she is done....experimented Canadian Tire cheap primer with duplicolor paint and clear. I regret not having enough coats of clear on it, otherwise I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Not much modifications done to it except switched out the rims and exhaust.
  20. Good job, I have the Revell Fast & Furious Civic in my stash, plan to give it a riced look.
  21. Hey all, I have been modelling for a while now and I heard some guys mention about Dupli-color Perfect Match paints. I know that Canadian Tire carries loads of supply of Dupli-color paints, but I still have a few queries about how to use em. 1. Are they more toxic than tamiya TS acrylic paints? Would it be fine if i spray Duplicolor outdoors with a mask (not respirator)? 2. Would it be okay to spray Testors gloss enamel over it? 3. Would it be okay if i use tamiya primer under the dupli color? 4. Any other advice on using Duplicolor? Thank you
