'32 Channeled Nailhead Roadster UPDATED 11/7/18
jeff f replied to Dennis Lacy's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Dennis love that old time look . Right off the cover of Hot Rod . I also gutted a 41 Lincoln kit five or six years ago . Stay on it and show us more . Jeff . -
Good morning fellow builders . And thank you for your comments .Got a little more done over the weekend . Still have fuel injection to build . Have a great week . Jeff .

I'm still working on the 32 , flat out strange for me . The green AS- 21 is done with Wet Look . I don't see any blue tint in it though . But it probably matches 1-1 car better . Hope to rolling stock under her this weekend . Have fun Jeff .

Yes , this is going to be one wicked ride !

'29 Are Pee You -updated 11/25/17 -in primer
jeff f replied to Rocking Rodney Rat's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Man I'd be all over those wheels and tires . Oh just me , cool hot rod project . Jeff . -
After three rounds of detail work , sanding and priming the body is ready for color . I found another pic of the car that shows a LS with old valve covers , no thanks . Still thinking about the injection manifold as the intake ports are in vertical pairs . Jeff .

This weekend I got the Y block mated to the 302 auto trans and worked on the roof . Pretty happy with the stance after moving the axles up a bit . Things are looking ready for paint I guess . Thanks again Jeff .

Wheels & Tires . My favorite way to start a model . The wheels are from Monogram 1/24 30 Ford with aluminum rings at the rear . I made the two bar spinners from aluminum also . The rear tires are 32 kit generic Goodyears . Fronts are Monogram frontrunners from drag kits . They are bored out to a scale 20 inches . I have a can of Tamiya AS - 21 dark green I'll use with clear . Working on the motor - trans , and top chop . This will be a shelf model only . Thanks for looking in , Jeff .

I have seen pics of a chopped 32 3 window Ford at 2017 SEMA . It's British racing green with black Dayton wires . Looks to have an 8 stack 312 Ford engine also . I think it's just too cool ! So here goes . Thanks Jeff .

Thank you to everyone that took time to look at my model , really fuels one to keep going . I don't build for comp , just for my collection . Thanks Jeff .

That's looking great , nice wheel n tire setup . Is that the same chassis as mine ? Jeff .
-
Sure Leonard , making the body drop far enough is most of the work . I sanded the tops of the wheel tubs heavily and thinned the underside of the deck lid right behind the back glass . also trimmed the pan about .100 to .120 per side to clear the rockers . Wheel base is ok as is , I cut the rear coilovers to lower the rear . That's the easy part . Thanks for the interest , Jeff.

For better or for worse , the decals are on . This will be the latest year pro stock in my collection . Jeff .
-
Yea Ron , rough day . I had to cut the red stripes apart and piece them together . Thanks for looking Jeff .
-
Still working on it , the red stripe decal almost caused a 200 mph crash into a wall ! Letting the nerves settle a bit a snapped a few pics . Jeff .

Sorry to hear about your trouble . I know that there are lots that can trip u up . That's why I fit fit and glue before I start painting . Keep your head up , its just a hobby . Jeff .
-
All little more parts robbing . The front tin came from the Monogram Camaro . I hah a terrible time with the A pillar cage area hence the ugly braces . A ton of fitting on these non kit subjects for sure . Thanks Jeff .
