I think (THINK!) it was an outfit called Time Machine Resins.  Only saw it on Ebay.  There was some mention on the internet boards of slow order response and wonky business practices then it just disappeared.  I had even bought a Fred Cady decal sheet for the Cale Yarborough and Dan Gurney Edition Mercury Cyclones.  This would be a great addition to their line.  I think they have a good start with the old Torino Talledega kit if it still exists.

The AMT Talladega has serious issues with the nose and grill. The nose doesn't fit at all, and the sides are shaped wrong. The grill is too narrow; the Talladega, Fairlane and Cobra all used the same grill. I tried modifying the nose piece to accept the correct grill, it didn't go well. 😄

  2. Slim chance, but I'll once again ask for a 1968-69 Cyclone fastback. They could use the less desirable '69 Cobra chassis & drivetrain to save money, I wouldn't mind. A new updated chassis & drivetrain would obviously be preferred. While we're at it, how about doing the Cyclone CJ and Spoiler II as well? 😆

Round2, if you're listening, I would happily loan you my resin Cyclone for this project!

AMT originally made three different Full size 1961 Ford kits, a Sunliner Convertible, Starliner Hardtop, both with engines and the curbside Club Victoria we still have today.  I believe the first two were updated with the next round of annual kits into the 1962 Galaxies.  The Starliner is the hardest one to find.

I don't see us modifying the '61 Club Victoria kit into an opening hood with engine kit, the pending release is unchanged parts wise.  On paper, we could modify the '60 Starliner into a '61 carrying over a lot of parts, but as pointed out modifying the Mueller era kits are difficult.

It would be easier to clone one of the annual Ford kits we no longer have, but which one?   The '67 seems to have the most requests, I like the '62 annual, and the '61 Starliner is pretty cool.  I may only get one shot at bringing back a full-size Ford kit in the future, so I'm going to have to give this further thought.

    '61 Starliner please! 🏁

The body in the upcoming Mach Won kit is unaltered from the Blue Crescent issue to the best of my knowledge and we have a number of additional stock related parts still in the mold.  Another group of parts for it resides with Warren Tope '73 Mustang.  I can see the possibility of reassembled '70 Mustang kit in the future once the Mach Won issue has run its course.

Thx for the info Steve! 😎

Any chance the original AMT 69 Mustang could also be resurrected?

Thanks for the info . Not sure what prompted me to consider that; the part number.  Perhaps the routing (shape) was modified ?

From what I'm able to recall from my years of working in the parts dept. of the local Ford dealership, the part numbers' alpha-numeric sequence (e.g. the first two characters for decade/year) is the only portion which hath stuck with me.
    That changed in the late 1990's (after the "F-"  prefix, which was dropped after 1998 (though Motorcraft labeled some of the parts as "F9-"), after changing - gradually - from 1997-onward ("W-" = 1997, "X-" = 1998, "Y-" = 1999, and "Z-" = 2000).

Oldest part numbers' prefixes I can remember seeing (regular stock, not NOS) ?
    A7-
    B2-
I'm not sure how 1930's and earlier numbers were assigned.

The part numbering system that Henry designed way back when has been degraded beyond belief, basic part numbers are pretty much useless now. The catalog is a giant mess. I could go on for days......
