Wow- that looks great!! The shine is awesome!! Does the engine paint contain ceramic? I almost bought some but wasn't sure how it would react w styrene a ms other paints. And what about the engine details? Did they come w the kit or did you make/ buy them? And what did you use for your primer/ base coat? Sorry if you get more than one post concerning this subject, I'm just learning this forum and may have posted twice or sent it in a message!?!? ???

Hi. My name is Derick. I've dabbled in model building off and on most of my life. I just finished my first build in probably 15 years. I did a '65 chevy stepside weathered to the hilt. It was my first attempt at weathering anything. Prior to that I built a Davey Allison T-Bird stock car. I will post pics of both if I can figure out how. I'm working from an iphone so any helps or hints would be greatly appreciated. Just to let you know how long I've been out of modeling: the revell '65 I just completed cost me about $25 for the kit and I ordered it online. The last kit I bought cost me $9.95 at Wal-Mart. None of my local stores even carry a kit anymore unless I want to drive a couple cities over to a Hobby Lobby. And I don't think anyone will ever pay $10 for one again! ???? Anywho, I'm excited about this opportunity to share info with like- minded folks.
