Wow,the car looks amazing all done..Great job!!!

Yea,I don't know what is going on with me lately.As I get older,I'm liking some weird stuff..I mean car wise.I go to shows all the time here on LI,NY.Cruise nights,etc.I love the muscle cars,& just fast cars.But know I'm liking Pintos,and Vegas,Pacers,Gremlins.Vega Kambacks(spelling)..I was evenchecking out an 81 Chevy Citation last week at a show.U know showroom condition,like 20 miles on it.However the main reason reason Iam trying to build this,was because I had a friend,whose,brother ran a 77 Pinto Wagon,Super Gas car,way back many moons ago..The car could never hook up right.There was nothing in the back of the car.The car was completely gutted.Anyway,I guess I gotta little thing for small cars now.I was going to try and build just a regular Pinto,a Bob Glidden car,but I found this wagon from,again,a real nice fellow modeler on here.More pix to come,hopefully.

Trying to scratch build a set of tubbs,and a cage.Found a cool set of wheelie bars.As I said,this whole thing might fall on it's face.Got outta building models for awhile.

Hey sorry,I got off the subject of you building your AMC Matador.I just really like AMC cars.First car I ever drove,was my mother's 72 Ambassador BIG &@%# station wagon/W a 390.The car was pretty cool.How about a pro street Matador?Ha ha

Oh yea,I forgot all about the Hornet.Another cool car from the boys @ AMC.Especially the Hornet 360.I found this rare gem at a car show this past weekend.A rotisserie restored 70 AMC Machine.The only ones I've ever seen,are the well know red,white,& blue "Rebel"Machine.Never did see one in any other colors.Very nice car,

At first,I was originally going to build a Vega wagon Super gas car.

Ah yes,the good old ugly AMC Matador..Man that was a weird looking car.In fact I used to hate them.And that was because my father drove a split pea greenish color one around for about 4 years.Till one day,BOOM?,the motor blew.I mean you can't deny the fact that most AMC cars were a bit odd looking,to say the least..(Of course the Pacer,the Pacer wagon,the Gremlin,and again the Matador).However now to me,they are some of the coolest cars out there.They are still odd looking,but I love them.Anyway,good luck on the build.I look forward to seeing the finished build.

So I bought this,I believe,77 Pinto wagon from another good guy on this website.I'm going to try and build into into a Super Gas car.I'll try my best,and see what happens. Thanks

Wow,that is some job you are doing on your Duster.I built this one recently.Except I didn't paint it.I must confess,it's an AMT Pro Shop Pre painted 71 Duster body,but everything else I built...Keep those pics coming. Thanks

Yes,the Duster is an AMT pre-decorated,painted.But I build the chassis,roll cage,most of the time from scratch.
